 		[PUZZLE] The CARELESSLY Files
Moving over from this thread.

From the October 5 update at paintover.net, the image was analyzed to reveal:

FTP: cassiusSPLATtheaquapolis.com
password: urchin

Hidden files titled "carelessly" were downloaded. Although most of them had the wrong extension, renaming produced the attached. There could be more files to find.

For complete discussion about how this was found please go back and read the original thread.

Use this thread to discuss the current files on the ftp site. Also note that the original picture from october 1st on paintover.net was not solved.

and has a Yellow school bus on it.

also the definition of statics is - The equilibrium mechanics of stationary bodies.

or

statics, branch of mechanics concerned with the maintenance of equilibrium in bodies by the interaction of forces upon them (see force). It incorporates the study of the center of gravity (see center of mass) and the moment of inertia. In a state of equilibrium all the forces acting on a body are exactly counterbalanced by equal and opposite forces, thus keeping the body at rest. The principles of statics are widely applied in the design and construction of buildings and machinery.

 		The text in carelessly.txt appears to be the result of searching for "texel" on googlism.com.

 		This is the way I see it.

Some hacker types are using the ftp server as a little hangout.

The first guy shows up, and he puts up the "First guy on the spot" pick, which also asks the others who made it on to identify themselves. The next two guys upload thier twisted little "I'm here" messages: The Perfect Attendance card for a guy called Statik, and the googlism for the guy named Texel (Texel is here).

One of them comments on the coziness of their new locale.

The only thing that doesn't fit this idea at the moment is the Also pic. Has anyone checked it for stegging?

 		Oh... my god. Statik is the user on MFN that first found the Metacortex site, quite a while ago.

 		That's a good analysis tonamel. Do you think we just have to wait for Caeser to leave a message?

Some thoughts of mine:

texel = 3d pixel = dutch island

van der Djin = dutch name

Cassius van der Djin = contrib @ little boxes

Cassius = character in Julius Caesar

C.A.E.S.A.R. = 3D anthromorphic world-wide mapping project (in real world) supported by many industries

That would make sense, but it doesn't match the creation date on the files:

The first file there is the mp3 file, which is Statik's image. The "First guy" JPG file is the second file created.
