Yeah, Statik was the first user to find it. Ugh. End of the road?? That'd be disappointing.

Damn, I was just about to post that.
Does this mean statik is involved, or just that the game masters are giving him credit for being the first one to discover the site?

Has anyone tried any variations of "STOL" for file names?

It could just be a tip of the hat to his initial discovery, or he could be up to it to his plums in it.
Whether or not he was involved before, he is now. I just hope he's got a decent size mail box

I thought about that, but I relaised that everything about this: the site name, the access method, the username, the password and the filename ALL came from the one picture.
So the other picture so far seems seperate.

Anyway to prove that these files are legit? The first thing I thought of when I saw them was they looked a bit like hacker calling cards or something.
The first to lay down a file is essentially sticking their flag in the FTP-Mountain.
Anyway to prove they're real files/clues?
I picked apart that "also" file in Photoshop to see if there was hidden binary, and there's nothing I can see. Also, I don't see any 1's in the picture, just 0's.
*shrugs*

one sec I've been watching y'all for a few days now. Finally decided to throw in my $.02. Great job so far; my first ARG.
The nice and cozy .txt file doesn't have anything to do with statik, if they are 'congratulating' him/her. The theory about the meeting site makes sense on the face of things. Trick is to find the names of files not listed, I'd think.

Well, you can't upload, and if they were fake, the game masters would probably have removed them by now.

texel Anagram for Texel:
TELEX
1 : a communication service involving teletypewriters connected by wire through automatic exchanges; also : a teletypewriter used in telex
2 : a message sent by telex
Pretty much what this is or the ftp site.

I was playing aroud with the "also" pic (i think it's carelessly.mp3.gif?).
I dropped the brightness and raised the contrast. I've attached what I came up with
Does it look like there is a "B" at the end of also to anyone else?
It's probably nothing, but y'never now.
