Metacortex Directory map

A few things I've noticed about the map that comes up on metachortechs.com when you click the directory link:

If, on the map screen, you click the directory link again, the red dots disappear. Clicking it a third time makes them reappear.

The only location which has a directory database is Redland. When you click Redland, before the directory loads, several of the other cities flash green in sequence. The sequence, as best I can make it out, is:

Manaus, Berlin, Kuwait City, Reykjavik, Osaka, Santiago, London, Melbourne, Mexico City, Madrid, Seoul, Bhopal, Melbourne, Beijing, Toronto, Redland, Mexico City, Manaus, Capetown, Chicago.

I have not been able to find a meaning to this sequence thus far. Clicking them in order does nothing, and since Redland is one of the cities, when you click that one you can't complete the list.

Left out of the sequence are:

Tel Aviv, Oslo, Dublin, St. Petersburg, Zurich, Auckland, New York City, Manila.

Kuwait City is way off its real position. It is a question whether this has some importance (it is the nearest city to the machines capital 01), or somebody screwed it up...

Post from Collective Detective Metacortechs Forum:

Here's the list & order of the cities that blink when you click on Redland in the Metacortechs directory (thanks to Nonlocality at Unforum):

Manaus, Berlin, Kuwait City, Reykjavik, Osaka, Santiago, London, Melbourne, Mexico City, Madrid, Seoul, Bhopal, Melbourne, Beijing, Toronto, Redland, Mexico City, Manaus, Capetown, Chicago

Here are those that are omitted:

Tel Aviv, Oslo, Dublin, St. Petersburg, Zurich, Auckland, New York City, Manila

I've listed the longitude/latitude coordinates of the cities below:

Manaus, BRAS: 3s0607, 60w0130, Brazil
Berlin, GER: 52n29, 13e21, Germany
Kuwait City, KWT: 29n20, 47e59, Kuwait
Reykjavik, ICE: 64n09, 21w51, Iceland
Osaka, 34n40, 135e30, Japan
Santiago, CHILE: 33s27, 70w40, Chile
London, ENG (UK): 51n30, 0w10, England
Melbourne, AUSTL: 37s49, 144e58, Australia
Mexico City, MEX: 19n24, 99w09, Mexico (MEX)
Madrid, SPAIN: 40n24, 3w41, Spain
Seoul, KOREA: 37n33, 126e58, Korea (N & S)
Bhopal, INDIA: 23n16, 77e24, India
Melbourne, AUSTL: 37s49, 144e58, Australia
Beijing, CHINA: 39n55, 116e25, China
Toronto, ON (CAN): 43n39, 79w23, Ontario (CAN)
Redland, ?
Mexico City, MEX: 19n24, 99w09, Mexico (MEX)
Manaus, BRAS: 3s0607, 60w0130, Brazil
Cape Town, SAFR: 33s55, 18e22, South Africa
Chicago, IL (US): 41n51, 87w39, Illinois

Can anyone do anything with this list of coordinates? If Redland actually existed, a numerical string or list could be created that could then be decoded. On the other hand, perhaps the omitted cities are the intended coordinates ... hmm.

Here's the list of the longitude/latitude coordinates of the omitted cities (but in no particular order):

Tel Aviv, ISRL: 32n04, 34e46, Israel
Oslo, NOR: 59n55, 10e45, Norway
Dublin, IRE: 53n20, 6w15, Ireland
St. Petersburg, RU: 59n55, 30e15, Russian Federation
Zurich, SWTZ: 47n23, 8e32, Switzerland
Auckland, NZ: 36s52, 174e46, New Zealand
New York City, NY (US): 40n43, 74w0, New York
Manila, PHIL: 14n35, 121e0, Philippines

So if we had either the longitude/latitude of Redland or the proper order of the omitted cities, then we would have a list of numbers that could be interpreted.

Of course, the blinking cities might not mean anything!

I hope crossposting between lists is kosher!
