I don't know what the deal with those sites are. The links for either of them don't work for me. Wink

Well, back in the old BBS days, fido net was one of the first networked messaging systems.

The Fidonet address:
2:463/209.0 (Stripped of the internet part) consists of an identifier to route
the email to a specific BBS.

2 represents the Zone (Aka Continent) the BBS belongs to. In this case, 2 is Europe.

The Second number consists of a Region (first two digits). 46 corresponds to Ukraine and Moldova, While 463 pinpoints the actual hub the BBS leafs from, in this case a BBS named Kiv Without Co, located in Kiev.

However this is as far as I can get. the 209.0 part is the nude number of the BBS that is the true endpoint... and according to the Fidonet nodelist as of 10/03/2003, no BBS exists with this number currently. This does not mean that it never existed, just not now. The Old bbs was named Moonlite, at least up to 1997.

Searching on that Fido address brings up some links regarding the Sysop's name Eugene Mayevski, "Bugs Bunny", and he posted to a group called "RU.DELPHI" in 1998, and contributed to a FAQ on ru.delphi, and was a member for a group for alf1:

This mailing list is created to organize the work on the ALF/Melmac project - development and implementation of the ultimate object-oriented programming language.

To whom only two members were subscribed: Eugene Mayevski & Stephan Koenig.

Looking thru some old usenet/fidonet posts, his sig was:

Beware of ghosts. Bugsy Wabbit.

I have a feeling this is a big waste of my time Smile

Funny... I have a feeling you're on to something big.

- We've seen the name Bugsy Wabbit before; The FsMpegDll.dll of the MetaCortex Screensaver is copyrighted to: "Bugsy Wabbit", 1998!
- FWIW, the Company name is listed as "Wabbit's".

So, the lines of ARG and real life is starting to blur. To me it seems plausible that these two things are connected, but what is it supposed to be telling us?
It strikes me that there were only two people in that group. Maybe we're supposed to find info on the other guy?

I've never used Fidonet myself, so I've no idea how to it myself. But I would strongly recommend that you continue along these lines. If possible, you're very welcome to post a short guide (or a link to one), so that I can help searching.. I'm pretty sure this is a good lead.
