That was actually pretty clever. Does the winner already know who they are?

You're welcome

You're welcome. I had the clues all written out before the broadcast of the final clue in nice, big print ready to circle the appropriate letters. Figured it had to be something using the info we had. The eye graphic was a bit confusing. Didn't know if I'd have to rewrite all the clues with "I"s in them to spell them with "eye" or not (like telev{eye}s{eye}on). It was also confusing the way Derek read the clues. Hard to tell what he meant at first, not to mention how quick he read them! But the "KISS" theory panned out, and when I saw EYE circled on my paper, I knew I was on the right track. I thought maybe it was an anagram, but decided to check the phone when I realized it was 11 letters after the "I" substitution.

The solve is disappointing when I look at all the research I've done. None of it ultimately mattered. Yes, I did learn alot. Read many books. I suppose it's somehow made me a better person. It's also (according to The Push Nevada Experiment) qualified me to be a well-dressed (wo)man by seeing connections that weren't there in the first place.

Wow, Diandra... You did everything I did. (Clues written out nice & big, in a monospaced font no less!) I wasted time with anagrams too and that was my downfall. But when I realized the first three letters were 866 I grabbed the phone. I actually got through & recorded my name & phone number but fell victim to their evil phone system... it wouldn't wait for me to say "Yes" (as in "Yes, that's my correct phone number"). After repeating what I recorded three times & not waiting for me to confirm it, they put me on hold & told me to wait for a live operator... which I promptly did for an hour & a half... then I got dumped to the "We have a winner" recording & got hung up on. Wonder if I have the makings of a lawsuit. Wink Any lawyers out there? Laughing

I was lucky enough to get through, but was on hold for some time waiting for a "live person" So, maybe next time. Thanks to all for the great posts and I hope to do it again with you all soon.

So how late was it when people started getting a "we already have a winner" message? How many people do oyu think they took before they switched to the message? And what did the live operator say to those who got through to one?

I got through at about 9:15 and answered all the questions, but I think it was so easy, and I stumbled over realizing it was a number that I'm certain someone beat me.

The rules state 25. 1 grand prize winner and the others as alternates in the event the winner is inelegible. The entry period will remain open for a period of six (6) hours following initial disclosure of the Final Clue or until approx 25 contestants have successfully entered, whichever occurs first. Right out of the rules folks.

I feel like a retard, but where are you guys getting the 5th, 1st, 9th, 1st, 5th, 7th, 4th, 1st, 2nd, 7th, 5th, and 2nd from.

That's the code key, obviously... but where did it come from?

Was that given in the final clue?
