don't know if this is anything but the one for number 8 doesn't seem like much of a message to me.

More Questions Than Answers
Has it been mentioned before that Cordelia Mae has her daughter on the station with her? Is it safe to assume that Steven Mae is her husband, and that "Stevie" is the (nick)name of their daughter?
Who's prayers have been answered by Saint Jude (what exactly does that mean anyway?)?
And most importantly, what's up with the vandalism of the cafeteria bathroom (one day after the elevator departed)?
OMG i'm going nuts, and the game (probably) hasn't even officialy started yet!!

We knew from the last issue that she had her daughter on the station, i think it was on the last line of her artical from employee of the month. As for Saint Jude, all i know is he is the saint of lost causes and was often confused with Judas in earlier times.

Just to clarify mapmaker's earlier post.
Due to the instructions given, messages 1 and 2 would never be possible.
3 is only possible given a 7 character first name.

Given that "Seth" is the usual recipient of any hidden messages from Steven, I would say the real message is "overcome obstacles". What obstacles Seth will need to overcome, only time will tell...

I was wondering if it you guys think it is too late to get involved with this arg. I realize it hasn't actually "started" but it seems many of you have already gotten snail mail and what not, and I want to get involved, but thought it might be too late. What do you guys think?

It's almost never too late to get started on an ARG. Just because you don't get anything through the mail doesn't mean that you can't play. I'm sure not everyone provides their physical address upon siging up at the Name That Rock site.
If you do wish to get involved and want the PMs to communicate with you, make sure you sign up at the Name That Rock page. Fill in as much or as little information as you feel comfortable with. After that, it's just a matter of going through the Orbicon site, checking out the info there, and maybe reading up on some of the forums discussing real life communication. Then just sit back and wait for the ribbon cutting. It's really that simple

I'd like to second Rowan's post, you can best regard the current stuff that's been sent out as teasers before the game really starts. Also, it seems only a selective group of people has recieved swag up till now, and going by what's happened thus far, I think there will be enough ahead for everyone, so by all means sign up and join in!
