geez, what's going on today? If you don't have anything nice to say, why say it at all?
Sorry, was having a bad day - apologies all around.
I think that was actually directed at me.

nah, not really directed at anyone specifically. I just noticed a general sort of theme going I was probably a little crabby myself.
Ponies for everyone!

In case anyone is interested in finding out more about Nicholas Flamel, theres a good site here:
http://www.crystalinks.com/flamel.html
(Probably more written there than there is on the marantha site)
And the wiki is reasonably decent too:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flamel
I certainly want the book, out of curiousity mostly (its hardly like Im going to be clever and win a million pounds anytime soon )
When it says "Available in Retail outlets", does that mean it will be availiable easily? Or I would have to wander around everywhere, and still not find it? (With that much prize money, I would think it would be rather popular )

The site states that within the book there is hidden a key which will unlock an ancient secret. The first to uncover the secret will win 1 million pounds (1.8 million US).
[Someone I know on another message board] sent an inquiry to the site and was told that yes, there is a key within the pages of the book, that the money was real, that there would be a winner and that 1/3 of all profit would be donated to charity.
The book is entitled: 'Marnatha Et in Arcadia Ego' and is due for release on October 13, 2005. They are currently taking preorders at the website above.
Just to follow-up, I ordered a book last month and it arrived today. Haven't had much of a chance to look at it, but the code used in the book is a Pigpen/Royal cipher. There are titles written in Latin(?) and several drawings that resemble Flammel's Hieroglyphics.
The titles:
Terribillis Est Locus Iste
Solis Sacerdotibus
Parce Signe Tu Le Vaincras

Well, if you're interested try using the Pig Pen cypher.

I've been trying to work on this; willing to throw around some ideas if you or anyone wants to PM me. Translating the text was the easy part - I was actually able to run through it fluently after about half of it with a guide (which scares me, actually).

I know exactly how you feel.
I havent looked at this much since deciphering it... but I'm willing to toss around some ideas Sir Vraal.

Maranatha Myeerah and Sin Vraal, I am in exactly the same position!
Managed to decipher the code even without the Pig Pen Cipher
clue but been stuck ever since! Maybe we could work together as
a threesome on this - three heads better than one and all that!
Feel free to PM me but I have to say, as yet, I have no blooming
idea what the symbols on the pictures mean or why they are there!
