Yes, to confirm, I will be handing out dark purple stickers to people who cannot wear purple clothes.

I will have about 20, but if there appears to be more needed I can print them.

My Posse (including Ollie Very Happy) will be wearing special "Skenmy's posse" stickers.

I have the perfect tie, plus it carries the benefit of deniability - any problems, and I'll just maintain it's "pink, dammit, pink... I dunno nuffink, squire!"

Starbucks it is. I'll send out the mailing tommorrow night and hit the modblog with it too... I was going to include the landline number for the VOIP server too, but on reflection it might be best to announce it on the day to prevent random trolling Surprised)

Not quite. The site is ingame as it has the same whois. The blog is GuyP's and is OOG.

Anyone else feel like this is really blurring the lines a bit too much? I mean having an actual in-game site point to an OOG site is a bit strage. Especially given that the Third Power can see the in-game site but somehow not follow the link to the OOG site?

I'd have been happier if they linked to a page on perplexcity.com instead since that site is already half-in/half-out. Making more sites like that is getting confusing. Pretty soon it'll be hard to tell what sites are "safe" and what aren't (besides Unfiction, which is always safe).

Looks like the event is happening during the 3 hours I'll be out of the house on Saturday. Bummer. I might be able to catch the first half hour and maybe the last half hour if I'm lucky tho Smile Have fun folks!

another little thought, how can the 3P have already identified the writer of the webpage? We dont even know who he is and we're on his team... this leads me to agree with the person who said that we will find a dead body on clapham common when you lot get there. It would be interesting to find out who the guy is though, and also it might be a good idea if you turn up with a rubiks cube if you are from unfiction and have a purple garment in your pocket, that way unfictioners will be able to recognise each other.

GuyP's blog has always been linked to on Perplexcity.com, so it's not really a "new" link.

*edit* Dinah Greek, eh? I thought so Wink

I'll probably be needing a sticker too as I don't have any purple clothes. It's not really my colour!

A-ha, but the whole idea of wearing purple is so that people can recognise you. If you aren't wearing purple in the first place, then Skenmy might never see you to *give* you the purple sticker Smile

Maybe there's a mirror event in Minneapolis/St.Paul? Lots o' purple there... Confused Say, if any who are able to be there in person might want some other heads thinking on the puzzles, lug along a wireless laptop to post 'em here RT - we'll help! Cool

[SPEC. Beware]

Anyone else get the feeling that this was perhaps something we were supposed to find by ourselves (by the Somnotherapy Phone Line thing, maybe?). Since we obviously didn't, they felt the need to feed it to us before the actual event so we could have the time to prepare and such. I'm thinking that perhaps they're overestimating our abilities to pick up on the more suttle clues they seem to be giving...

I was thinking the same Neopuff! This whole thing this evening has the feel that it was cobbled together because we missed something in the receda-approach trail...
