Are we still planning to do a dry run of the VOIP/IRC/etc. setup before Saturday?

Yes, I do apologise for the late-ness of it all, but a mountain of university work suddenly appeared out of nowhere, damn lab sessions...and then there was the embedded systems show...but basically I'm sorting a few minor niggles out with my VOIP server, and then we will be ready for a dry run. Incidently, I've not got many people listed as wanting access to the server. The list so far is:

Mokey Fraggle
Skenmy
uneasyjd
chippy
GuyP
Buzman

If there any mods who can't make it to the event but will be on the support team, would you please PM me as I need some help to mod this conference call, though by the looks of things only 1 other mod will do.

More news about the VOIP server will be posted soon, including connection details. As there's a handful of users wanting connection to the server, I thought I'd make use of my experience of tech support (gulp!! Shocked ) and talk people through the config via the IRC channel. If anybody would still like the 'dummies guide' then I'll finish it off, but it's actually quite hard writing in a very non-technical manner!!!

It's here: (really long URL)

However, if the philosophy behind meeting there is related to the somnotherapy co-ordinates, I think it is flawed, because there is an identical cleopatra's needle in New York City - so why direct us to an obelisk somewhere else nearby that only has a passing resemblance to it?

P.S. Don't send me any mobile phone numbers - I definitely can't attend now Crying or Very sad

Edited: shortened the long URL, which was causing the page to render way too wide. -Brian

Thanks Neuromancer - that's brilliant. And I'm cool with IRC as opposed to the 'dummies guide.'
