[UPDATE] [TRAIL] somnotherapy line / online trail 22nd oct

the somnotherapy line has updated (02075264577)
the pass code comes from the pictures on therecedasign.com/sculptors page which in turn came from the recedaapproach interview, and oh, i dont understand whats going on but i transcribed the message for y'all.
scuse typos :)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

3,6,7
you stand on high cliffs looking down to the ocean, waves crash against the rocks and you can smell the salt air
a path to your right leads down through the trees
you follow it trembling, the breeze grows stronger as you make your way down until at last you come to a clearing and the wind lashes your face
a ruined house stands before you weeds crawling up through the fallen masonry
a faint melody can be heard from inside
you gently touch the door and it drifts open silently
in the gloom a distant light catches your eye
the melody now surrounds you
you move towards it but the light is swallowed up by shadow as the door shuts behind you
you strike a match and the distant light returns
you look down into the black as you make your way across the room
soon you can almost touch the light
the music swells to a crescendo
you look up and recoil as a face appears before you
you wake but are no longer afraid, you know what you saw

i guess its pointing us to the receda music school page but i'm not sure what the clue is that we need to access the private recedas revenge game.

edit:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

the face was your own, the private dir on the music site was/mirror/.
where there was an mp3 with some lovely classical music which was correctly identified as beethoven's moonlight sonata. /moonlightsonata on the receda's revenge page gave us chapter 1.5 of the game, which ended up with a card for the luminary inn - in other words, lighthouse?

rach =)

Carrying on from above we got:
http://www.recedaresorts.com/luminary/

Caps on the page give you bookitnow:
http://www.recedaresorts.com/bookitnow

which redirects to:
http://secure.recedaresorts.com/trackaccess/

which link up to the various on the ground teams and the codes/answers we should be getting from them. except we may have to code the keywords into 5 letter strings with the codebook found in journeys end. so i dont know what their keyword would be... i guess it makes more sense at their end!

edit: does this make sense?

cast adrift - boats #x7 = green? (unproven)
buried secrets - braille/su doku?- #m12 = match
radio play - photos #t11 = ether
boxes of delight - did a team go to this one, what was the puzzle?
journeys end - codebook #aa2 (was supposed to encode the other 4)

rach =)

Remember theres the phone-in keyword. We still need 8 crazy stunts Very Happy

Codebook? Im finding it realy hard to find any info. If theres a nice soul out there and its not too long a pic/writeup would be nice.

I dont have a clue whats going on there. I remember something about stunts on the maps phoneline. you have to email 8 pictures to the station and they will put the keyword on our group line.

so yeah I guess so.

As you can see im very confused.

Edit: Ive phoned up the radio station and no keyword. I guess your not finished yet.

if you see dustys post in t'other thread with the scans you'll see that the radio play team had to ring in the radio show, take pictures of themselves doing specific things and then send them to the 'online team' who put them up for us to see as a link off the 3p page. when theyd done them all it gave us the codeword ether which then let us get through the authenticate page (recedaresorts/bookitnow) to the location tracker (see seq's pics thread).

after that the only online-ness was the 3p secure page once again updating saying they had to abort their mission and evacuate, linking us to the spy reports from O8 and then to the groupware manager access system thingy which is currently hardwired to not let us in, although if you go to /admin or click the audit button it implies that we may be able to get in without a password in 48 hours time.

so, the ground team got badges and drinks and free cards, and what do the faithful online support team get?! nothing but the satisfaction that our identities have thus far not been compromised to the enemy ;)

jakeo and scott are working on the wiki to update more about what happened on the ground and in the individual teams

rach =)

Well I followed most of that, apart from the fact that I could find info anywhere. Well at least I turned up to help online, even if I didnt have a clue where you lot were exchanging info. Well hopefully the next time will be real and I wont be at school. They realy make us sound bad on the report dont they. Still, somebody said something about a poem. Any trace of this?

we were all in IRC and incredibly manic (but fun) it was too. scott was kinda updating the wiki page as he went and i pretty much just posted here so id have somewhere for the transcription and to think out loud :)
no sign of the poem so far, think most of the details will have to wait until the ground crew return from the pub, lets just hope they dont drink too much to be able to remember it all ;)
rach =) (thinks we need a thorough debriefing when everyone returns just so we can all understand what on earth just happened lol)

Damn the bastard! Strung us along every step of the way. Nice that he was faintly perturbed by our method of brute forcing the locks off the attaches cases, though. Not so stupid as we look, huh?

Well I certainly had a grand time even if I spent it without a clue as to what was going on.

Cliffnotes: We failed almost all the puzzles in the time limit, you guys got all the keywords anyway and sent us to the Mole's escape point, he escaped and we all got free cards and leitmarks.

No idea what any of that means, what the final keyword is or what we're supposed to do with any of it Very Happy

Hopefully reading more of the fora will help out a bit.

Check all the cards and leitmarks for hidden cameras and tracking devices! They might be monitoring us through them. Can't let them trick us again....

Am I missing something or has the last keyword not been deployed?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Green Match Ether Watch [on the bookitnow part of receda resorts new page] goes to another page [Watch was left for us by the helicopter dude]...
