Maybe the passwords we used to get into the ftp at The Aquapolis ALSO work at Little Boxes....?

That would suggest more users at little-boxes.

Can somebody please tell me: my save txt file (the one beginning with "Whoa" has a line before "whoa" and 4 lines after "nodes?" Is that just some kind of a glitch in the saving process or are they clues to the number of nodes?

first, would like to say that I'm new to the arg thing, so if im wrong, please just disregard what I say

the guy in the jpg.jpg image looks like it could be agent smith. The mountain...mount zion... first to the spot could be something about the revolution movement.

roll call...isn't that what they did in the second movie when morpheus gave his speech to the people of zion?

like i said though, i could be wrong

Funny thing - I started checking to see how many people on google would call mt Sinai mt Zion... and what is the first link I come across? I attach the image. Looks like Zion/Sinai to me. Now we have to figure out what these shadows mean.

About an agent... I can see that... kinda sad: does that mean now that agents are watching that server?

I agree that they had a roll call in M2, though I'd say it was when they got the Keymaker; that scene when Morpheus was saying "I see 3 captains, 3 objectives"

I just hopped into IRC, and I am not sure how they determined it, but it would seem that:

* The FTP files are now in http://www.theaquapolis.com/urchin/ (.htaccess username and password pops up)

* There is a new (or possibly overlooked) carelessly file: http://www.theaquapolis.com/urchin/carelessly.graffle

Graffle is an extension used for OmniGraffle on the Mac, but in this case, the file is a jpeg of a fire-eater or something

Did they change the login/password? It's not working for me...

I would have never guessed that extension (as a matter of fact, never heard of it!) How many extensions did everybody try?

And, yeah, i see that file there.

[EDIT] The fire-eating guy appears to be... hmm... eating fire in front of a mountain [EDIT]

Watch as my eyes bulge out of my head

Well, now I know where the link came from. Someone pasted the following from a previous occurrence in the channel. Since it is second hand (at the very least) to me, and third hand (at least) to you, take it with the appropriate milligrams of salt. Still, it's pretty friggin' cool.

<Caesar> and since you like to snoop so much, maybe you can figure out what to do with this..

<Caesar> oh.. and statik..
<Caesar> nice work.
<Caesar> later.

As amazing a find as this is, it still makes me laugh, because it reminds me of this. But anyway - where/how DID they???

I'm partial to the theroy of everyone showing their presence.. It would make sense that the first guy suggest a roll call, and the last one calls out perfect attendance - not thinking of the time of upload on the pictures. Not sure that's significant.. Especially now it's been placed on a URL, where (AFAI) you can't see when the files are uploaded without the directory listing..

- Perhaps the first one there is 1c (Ascent/DL)?

"Yes! Yes! Fire! Fire! FIRE!!" - *best Beavis voic

carelessly.graffle looks familiar...

A Nuke (Trinity)...

A Volcano...

Either works well in the game context.

Of course - Moses, Mt. Sinai, and the "burning bush" story works well with the "plagues of Egypt" being discussed on little-boxes; and it ties into the "Roll Call" pic.

Hmmm... Confused

I'd say this confirms the hackers-visiting theory. Or at the least, it confirms that texel refers to a person, not some 3D thingy.

That's true.. So, If this source is legit (Isn't there a way to test that? Where did it come from, originally?), the words mentioned must be handles. Not only that, but the handles of the group leaving us clues.

Okay, trying to get my head around this...

We have:

1. 1c stamp with man (agent looking) standing on top of a mountain, holding a red flag. The man says "Roll call!" and the stamp says "First to the spot" at the bottom. It has also been theorized that the grey areas of the mountain is a map, though it's a stretch.

2. Image of a "Perfect attendance" card, issued to Statik. Perfect attendance is a reward commonly given to children that has just that in class. This seems to indicate that the game masters are giving credit to Statik for finding the metacortex site first. Unless Statik is involved somehow, I don't think this image holds any significance at all.

3. Image of the characters "also.". The letters have small white boxes in it. The most plausiable theory is that they are "little-boxes". Braille has also been suggested, but I find it too much of a stretch (even though it's very cool) since there is so much whitespace, making it impossible to be certain of the braille meaning.

4. Image of a fire blower.

5. Text file with a googlism of Texel. The text "Texel is here" has been added to the googlism. Texel has appeared alongside Caesar on IRC to tip off abot the fire blower image (which people didn't find first, since it had a rare extension - .graffle).

6. A text file with the text:
Quote:
Whoah! So what's with all the activity on the nodes?

Nice spot. Cozy and clean. Good work.

This last one has, in my opinion, recieved way to little discussion. What are "nodes" referring to, and what is the "spot" that 6 and 1 is referring to - is it the FTP?

I would like to think it's true because they pointed us at a file no player would have been able to guess.. so the idea that someone found Gaffle and then went out of their way to trick everyone else seems weird..

More information would be useful though.. What channel was this on?? Did anyone do a whois on the nicknames? So far I'm 50/50 on believing it but it has potential to be our first interaction..
