[META] If a PM is listening...

Is it possible for someone with authority to contact the major Web Content Filtering organizations (SurfControl, Websense, etc.) to have LCP excluded from the "Gambling" block list?

It seems that those who maintain the "block databases" have glommed onto LCP and categorized it (somewhat) improperly.

Or am I tilting at windmills?

Windmills, Johnny, I fear.

By volume of player interaction, LCP *is* a poker site.

I'd love to listen in on the PM's phone call to Surfcontrol too.

SC: "So you're not a poker site then"

PM: "Well, it's a poker site run by dead people"

PM: "They like to come to play against the living"

PM: "They want to get their story out ... OK, I think I'll hang up now..."

There's no real 'revenue' being generated, though, because players do not have to pay to interact with the site, nor can they obtain winnings in actual dollars/transferable funds.

Sure, this kind of site wouldn't really fly at many places that utilize filters, but j5 was specifically taking issue with it being categorized as "Gambling."

Which is really kinda isn't.
