Its the permissions, because no pages on it gives a 404 error.

Plenty to read, anything leaping out at anyone else as being relevant to us at this moment in time? So far, it looks like we may have a potential date for...well, "something" from the following passage.

"The hiatus in celebration of the midwinter festivals and games from 0BC to 22AD did not disrupt this steady trend.

The Cube was discovered in 7AD according to the timeline, 0BC/1AD being the "birth of the modern age". The War is listed as being 67BC, but clearly something occurred at this point which interrupted the centuries old Midwinter traditions.

seems more like a game of "brag" than "poker" to me
but nevertheless it might be connected

EDIT ok -- looking again its not poker or brag --- just strange

The dates for this year's tournament are given using our years rather than theirs - whoops!

According to this page, the games should be in the third round of the knockout stages by now...

A few more clues as to the Perplexian population size?

PCAG site wrote:
the one-on-one Clash final is one of the most watched sporting events of the year.........the final contest of the games is a day-long set of Clash games played between the two remaining competitors; this match is usually particularly exciting and is often close-fought, with an average of more than 3m viewers across the city and surrounding area.

Compare this to one of our most watched sporting events, the football world cup, which in 2002 was watched by an average of 314.1 million viewers per match, despite the games being on at 7am European time and the middle of the night in the US and South America.

Seems pretty low is what I'm saying. I appreciate that it only says "the surrounding area" but you'd think others might take an interest.

Almost certainly not important but the formatting of the pages in IE is off, with large white spaces above all of the main text elements. Looks ok in Firefox though...

oh neat Smile they (vaguely) used my idea (kinda) fFor logo (roughly).

Like, remember that thing on Open-design soliciting fFor sentinel ads? here's one I submitted. Then I also sent a copy of the logo itself at a higher, more useful res. Of course, they never really used anyone's ads, and eventually added some entirely different ones. Still, I'm going to take this is a nod in my direction. Also I have no life.

whee Smile

the logo is Rodin's sculpture of "Man Having a Crap" isn't it?
