Had you read any of the numerous posts on this thread, you would've seen that no-one has solved this one yet. Also, it's not that hard to do a bit of research for yourself (using google or otherwise).

What titles did you try? List them so that we know another combination that doesn't work. We'll get there by elimination if nothing else.

I've an idea. Let's assemble a stack of evidence supporting our case. Instead of, you know, guessing codes will probably work on this or that, based on google and memory, Let's take photos or screenshots of people entering codes and getting results. Photos should, if possible, have the game box visible, screen shots should have one shot showing the typed in phrase, one shot showing the resultant message of succes (as applicable, of course).

Then we'll put all these images together, and send them to sente, tied up ina nice little ribbon, and he can see we really do know what we're talking about.

Heck, why stop at screenshots. Videos will better capture pressting the buttons/keys (which normally do not cause any sort of on-screen feedback)!

lol nice idea! must admit I'm getting a bit sick of putting in various combinations of the titles we've worked out and getting my card locked for 24hours at time! Might be nice to prove to Sente we know best with Earth games!

Why stop there? Ssurely you all have keyloggers attatched to your hardware.

Of course I'm joking, as was Bri in his post. Sarcasm people, learn it, use it, laugh.

I know it might take the fun out of it, but is it worth making a concerted, systematic effort to solve this one, so everyone's using up their three attempts in a useful manner?

We could produce a matrix of permutations of the predicted answers and then mark off attempts. The matrix could be ordered by probability of answer correctness.

In addition, we could look at each code in turn and exhaustively google for all possible answers for it. I'm not convinced we're going deep enough.

We seem to be taking a stochastic approach right now, and it doesn't seem to be working!

Far too many large words for that early in the morning! I think you may have a point though, but can every1 remember what variations they have put in? I certainly can't!

Ill concede that 3. is

To be honest, the fun's already gone with this card, I certainly can't recall all the combinations I've tried and I'm no longer bothering every day, so maybe this is the way to go.
Not sure about trying to delve deeper into this, as loqcust pointed out earlier these are supposed to be famous cheat codes (although the [FUND] still bothers me somewhat). And here was I thinking 'By Another Name' was frustrating!
Of very little relevance but Dabuur (title acronym) appears to be some famous arabian(?) race horse.

Funny, Bri! Laughing

The big question is...does anyone have a C64 and a copy of Jet Set Willy? Very Happy

Seriously though, this card ceased to be fun a looong time ago. I don't think I've tried to enter any answers since last weekend. This was the one card I had in mind when I made my improvement suggestions over at the pxcforums (esp. the one for hints and flexibility).

That isn't the answer for 1.

There is another game that used the code, a far more memorable game, and a far more memorable code. Actually caused quite a scandal in its day.
