We run several successful outreach programmes, aimed at interesting people who might not find us in other ways; these include open-air exhibition matches, taking puzzle games to hospitals and offices, and organising local competitions in suburban areas.
Yeah! Let's have some Earth outreach! That can't be outside their budget, can it?

Apols - I should have posted these from the off.
Attached is a scan of the perplexcity catalogue entry, and a closeup of the email address (on the right border of the 'lost' polaroid).
It's also worth noting (just for laughs) that the footer on that page reads
Quote:
Can't solve Riemann's Hypothesis? Then try one of our (only) slightly easier brain busters.
... referring to the other puzzles for sale on that page.
btw - can anyone advise if there are there any copyright issues with scanning/reproducing the firebox catalogue?

I would assume that the same rules apply to FireBox as apply to Mind Candy. No higher resolution than 60dpi when scanning.
Of course, you could always drop them an email and find out (explaining your unique situation, obviously)

Their copyright policy is here and it does mention "marketing materials".
As Atrophied said, I'm sure they won't mind a low-res post given the amount of cash we must give them, but probably is worth an email.

I can't imagine Firebox minding us reproducing their catalogue, its free advertising for them and it's not like they charge for the catalogue.

I don't think this has been posted before, but:

On the day after the final, 15 January, the Academy by tradition holds a ball to celebrate the end of the games and to award the trophy to the champion.
tells us the final must be on 14 January. So the Final 21 Days after the Knockout rounds will start on 22 December, and extend over our Christmas (do they celebrate Xmas over there?)
But next year, 14th January is a Saturday 14th Jan - which may mean it's a day for us to keep free....???

The puzzle card game Clash is the cornerstone of the Games; it is the one event which every participant knows that they will certainly play – not once but many times.
Sounds a bit like the puzzle card game we solve along the way doesn't it?

I doubt it, but who knows?

I doubt we could join in the competition now, because to be fair we'd have to have entered from the first round!! Oh well, guess there's always next years games!!

Not to mention we'd kinda have to get to Perplex City somehow.
