Has anyone tried googling or "dot com" ing the other official Colossi names from the game?

Image similarities

Ok, this one is a bit far fetched but still I think it could be the same 'creature'

Now this one is a deadringer. Look at the 'hair' its even in the video.

Okay, I did a quick www./.com search for each of the latin names with no spaces, to no avail. I also did google searches for exact matches for each latin name ("insert name here"), and found nothing for most of them, and a plethora for three of them.

Quote:

1). The Minotaur "Valus" [Minotaurus Colossus]

If changed to "Minotaur Colossus", this presents us with approximately 89 results.

Quote:

2). Taurus Major "Quadratus" [Taurus Magnus]

This one provides about 50 matches.

Quote:

7). Sea Dragon "Hydrus" [Draco Marinus]

And this one provides another 82 matches. I'm fairly sure from a quick glimpse that none of these matches have anything to do with the topic at hand, but I also don't intend to search every one of the matched sites.

I have yet to do searches for the names, titles, and combinations thereof.
I also have yet to do searches for the names and titles, or combinations as .com websites, or any of the above as websites with a different suffix (ie. .net, .org, .co.uk, etc.).

I will get to work on this as soon as I get a chance, unless somebody has already begun that themselves.

Devamon

(PS. This is my first ARG)

Something I found a little odd, but is most likely ultimately nothing. on the taurus major page, the arctic biology link doesn't exist. But I can't find anything important about the date or the URL. I also tried looking for important things in 1973 (the number you get when you minus 2005 with 10 and 22), and while lots did happen, nothing relevant that I could tell.

I'm guessing they linked to a website that's gone down. The date was just because it was the day before the site was made.

Sorry for the double post, however the giantology blog has updated. No new info (it's just commenting on Ed's photo montage), but he did say
Quote:
I've been receiving, and in fact this Friday will probably be dropping an unexpected bombshell regarding one of the other recent discoveries you've seen covered in this very blog.
So tomorrow should be a time to keep an eye on the site. Something that caught my eye is this quote from him
Quote:
tre-normous. Gi-mendous. Ti-gantic
Which aren't words (googled them all and while I got hits, nothing relevant I could find).

If he is OOG, then the quote means nothing and he's just a bad speller Wink If he is IG, then it's most likely a clue (or he's a bad speller). But it should be Gi-gantic. E-normous. Tre-mendous. Gi and Tre are there, but in the wrong spot. The E isn't, and Ti matches up with nothing.

Something I found in the images folder is this large picture of the porthole. Again, most likely nothing, but I figured I might as well post it while I was making this post. One thing I noticed was in the reflection of the window, you can see another window to the right (a square one). So obviously they got a boat and shot the picture (instead of just photoshopping it). However there's no person in the porthole. You can see the window from behind, but not a person (there should be one taking the picture).

Another strange picture difference from the Paleo Shilling site. this image isn't linked anywhere. However it is a smaller copy of this image. It's exactly the same with both shadows, and that squiggly line smudge, but also the people (which I found by brightening the image) are exactly the same spot. But there are minor differences:
* the first one is smaller, has been obviously shrunk, but only a tiny, tiny, bit.
* The first one has been cropped. Again, only a tiny bit.
* The first one has a small circle, second one doesn't.

I can't see how that means anything, but why make a smaller image (which puts it out of focus slightly), crop it and add a tiny circle?

Another picture not mentioned on the site is this one, which is a much larger version to this one. There is another small circle, it COULD be the smaller image is hiding it, but I'm not too sure. This isn't the case in the first two though, because the dot appears in the smaller image, while this time it appears in the larger image.

[EDIT]: oh, he's also put up a podcast. and this page indicates he's a sony employee.

61.(0)41.655.9032 Is that a valid Philippine phone number? (0632) 899-7450 So if it isn't a phone number.

61 0416559032 thats an australian mobile number

Just to validate since I live in the Philippines all my life, 61 0416559032 is not a valid Philippine phone number. 63 is the Philippine International code, and most of our phone numbers have 7 digits.

Just for info Smile

So then, if this is an Australian number, anyone out ther who can validate that the number is working?

But~ Why would they give an Australian number BUT give a Philippine Address? O_o

Just wondering.

Also the image is rotated about 4 degrees. Thats no 'error' that needs work.

Good to know it definitely isn't a Philippine number. And yes, it is a valid number (mobile phone) in theory anyway. I haven't called it Wink I believe the 61 is an area code? Although it's odd that he has both an Australian web address, and an Australian mobile phone number. If someone moved to the Philippines, surely they'd change their mobile number?

I'm guessing out of game, it's because Philippine's doesn't have a strong Sony prescence?

My parents would not be impressed if I rung the number, so does anyone else want to?

Actually, I think I was wrong about the difference I spotted. I overlayed the two images (shrunk down the larger one) and then made the layer holding the one on top invisible, then visible, then invisible, then visible.

I saw no differences. The smaller does actually have the circle, it's just not as obvious because it's shrunk (although I'll be damned if I can find it when it's on the web, just must be my eyes). I couldn't detect any 4 degree difference.

Woops, Embarassed wrong quote. I did the comparison on the temple pics.
this image andthis image.
Used almost the same technique (cept I made the smaller one bigger)

Looks like the Arkady site is down, now, due to bandwidth restrictions.

Why the Arkady Simkin's website:http://arkadysimkin.pl/infocus_eng.html

I'm wondering if it's REALLY down because of bandwith. I know little of HTML, but it wouldn't be too hard to whip up a fake Bandwith Exceeded page, would it? Polerneft, anyone?

Anyway, if this IS an ARG, it looks like the characters are about to start interacting to each other, and if this is the case, something big is going to happen soon, which works well with what Giantology says; that today, something is going to happen soon.
