[OFFTOPIC] Envelopes by Harriet Russell

just thought that you all that appreciate puzzles out there would be interested in this. it was in the issue of Entertainment Weekly. look just like a red puzzle card we're all familiar with?

ingenious

from ew.com:
Quote:

In Envelopes (Random House, $16.95), British illustrator Harriet Russell proves that postal workers across the Atlantic must be pretty smart. Seven years ago, as part of a student art project, Russell began mailing letters to herself with illustrated envelopes that hid the address in puzzles (crosswords, connect-the-dots, and other graphic tricks). She sent more than 130, and only 10 went undelivered. What about those code-cracking deliverers? Says Russell, ''I got the impression they quite enjoyed it.''

Shocking. I hereby apologize for all the times I cursed Royal Mail. (Apart from the person who stole my replacement chequebook out of the post a couple of years ago and tried to forge thousands of pounds of cheques on my account - s/he is still a complete jerk.)
