Check out the logo above the name Viard.

Me wonders whether this is a bastardisation of the Tarsians?(http://www.quirkyacuity.com/archives/2005/10/symbols.html)

Incidentally, the auto-responder from helixSPLATheshrecords.com says this:

I wondered about the exact same thing....and then figured I was just being paranoid. Maybe not.

Yes!!!! we can finally get some mind-altering music!!! Guess we need to dig up the old audio steg finders as I'm sure the 'music' will have all manner of subliminal messages, etc.

Anybody got any links to good steg tools?

While I have no doubt that the music will have steg and/or backmasking and/or some other form of puzzly goodness, I wonder if it is going to be at all related to the cube? I'd speculate that it is probably tangential (which doesn't make it any less fun to find and decode), but who knows? We won't know until we've decoded everything there is to decode. For all we know, "V" has a humble job as some no-name audio engineer and will be using the music to communicate messages to the 3P operatives on Earth.

just had a thought, anyone tried to desteg the album cover or picture of [spec] Viard [/spec] in the sidebar? I would try myself but have never done any destegging before and am unwilling to download virusy, adware and spyware fillled 'free' programs.

and one more thing im not sure hesh is 3p, they have a hexaghonal logo and their sidebar is scattered with pentagons... but didnt lencival say all geometric shape worshippers are ensentially the same?

On the front page, here, there is "music". It only starts after a while, but it sounds like there could be something hidden in it. I would look myself but I can't because of: Lack of programs/lack of time/inertia

Strange that the music is embedded in a .swf file too....

Embedding the music in a SWF isn't too terribly odd--take WhipSmart or hundreds of other sites out there. Relying on a browser to properly implement an OBJECT/EMBED tag in the right way (i.e. so that it works and so that it doesn't leave a chunky little mini-player window around that does not jive with the rest of your site's look and feel) is not terribly reliable. Flash tends to look the same in all browsers and you don't have to rely on MP3 being associated with the right plugin, etc.

If anyone is interested, I extracted the MP3 from that flash.

Other than the MP3 file and a command to stop the music playing there is nothing else in the .swf file, so I would give this up as a hiding place for clues.

here it is backwards, and there aint any backmasking I can make out. However someones obviously been paid to make this, so it must have some use/point other than prettying up their site.

It seems atm that it could be 'just prettying up the site'. It is a music site after all so its not strange for them to have music. I mean they are paying designers to make other sites, doesn't mean there is always something hidden in them...
