How on earth to get silvers? Hi,
By judicious trading and acquisition I have managed to get all of the current wave except four silver cards - in fact I have *two* of each of almost all the non-silver cards.
Getting any silvers is proving very difficult. Of the very few available for trade, no-one wants to swap with even a large number of lower-order cards. Buying new sets is very unreliable - I have only had two silvers in about 20 packs. Bidding on eBay is getting prohibitively expensive - over £30 per card - although market forces may eventually bring this down.
Any suggestions as to how to get those elusive shiny ones? If you are one of those rare people who have a spare silver or two and are prepared to swap for lower-order cards, of course I would be very interested, but I am thinking of a more general discussion on the subject.

I think you've answered your own question. Either continue to buy packs in the hope you'll get some silvers or buy on ebay....or hope the central bank increases the money supply-it has been implied that they will though.

Thankfully I have only bought one silver on eBay (for less than half that), and the remainder are now promised as swaps with (several) lower-order cards. It can be done!

Congrats, Doublecross!
I've been offering cards *and* money, left and right, but I can't even get these people to respond to my emails! Just wait until they need something from me!

I must have been extremely lucky. I got a silver in each of my firebox orders (4 packs each). IE one in every four packs. I'm sure my luck will run out in my next order.

Were these packs bought recently or soon after they were released-it's possible the ratios have been changed as a reaction to how few there were in the first wave.

I do remember them saying at the London Expo that they were changing the ratios of silver cards to make them more common. So if you're planning on selling any on ebay, do it now!

Looking at Ebay it seems as though the market has been flooeded by "professional" ebayers. I would wait until 2nd wave is out and new members are after the 1st wave cards and willing to trade with their 2nd wave cards.
Hope this help

I've just started to sell some on their 5p listing day. selling a couple of blacks, blues and purples...
And then one of the "professionals" stole my photos...
...and when I queried it with them (not with ebay, just the seller) they sent me a rather nasty email...
Should I email Ebay and get their listings pulled? I'm feeling a bit pissed off with them...
Their handle is Sunermuner, mine is Stormwatchprime (its a stupid name I know but I wanted to buy something, time was running out and I saw my friends comic book...)
her's is here
mine is here
What do you think? just a little similiar?

Just a tad If she was a bit off in her reply send a quick e-mail to ebay. They may take her auction down, I spose it just depends on if you could be bothered?

Well, she's used it in 2 auctions now, I guess if she uses it and other pics again I'll make a complaint... And forward them a copy of her email...
