Maranatha Puzzle Book Cat - this one looks right up your alley... lord knows it's up mine.

If anyone thinks it's worth giving a shot, gimme a holler or something, I'm trying to wrap my head around it now.

Dashcat and I have been working on this one. Although we haven't gotten very far on it. We keep getting sidetracked by other things.
*Edit

Maranatha Hidden Agenda Hey, just wanted to warn people that the Puzzle-Book "Maranatha" has a hidden agenda, and not a good one I might add!
It's put out by a very weird and cult-like group acting within Freemasonry.
(The strange "R" in Maranatha is actualy a Masonic Cypher.)
If you value your life I would advise staying clear of this book.

I don't suppose you have any links to back up your claims? If this wasn't an already established book, I'd say this was a bad attempt at a trailhead for yet another conspiracy-laden ARG.

It's ALWAYS the Masons.
Can't we have a Presbyterian Conspiracy for once?

Because if they were Mormons we would tell them by their nametags.

Phaedra, it's funny you mentioned that. In fact the Maranatha puzzle "secret" might well be related to some ancient church stuff, including perhaps the Scottish Reformation which led to, you guessed it, Presbyterianism.
Time to start looking for secret codes in those hymn books...

I was thinking the 7th Day Adventists should be behind something...

Is anyone actually doing this?
I ask, because I have just bought the book. However most of the topics on the forum seem to be concerning the moral validity of said book, rather than the nitty-gritty of solving the thing.
If anyone is seriously doing this then maybe we could start a proper discussion.
Maybe everyone is doing this but divulging clues to a million pound pize is just too much to share?!
I have a few ideas already from reading the introduction (only got that far) so if anyone there fancies sharing ideas let's get together.

This isn't really a forum devoted to puzzle books and treasure hunts, although the interests of our members do overlap with other such communities. I think the places where I have seen the most collaboration on this particular book were www.tweleve.org (yes, that's the spelling) and http://www.quest4treasure.co.uk/forum/ (must register to read both of those).
