I'm currently studying Media Communications and Broadcast Journalism (Plus I did some work in Film Studies as well).

However, I haven't seen any references to a 'menace media'.

One thing that does strike me though is the Frankfurt School. They believed the media was influencing the populace via mass culture. Thus the individual was being destroyed, and only the 'mass' remained, becoming ultimately a fascist society.

Munchen - Munich - German City...

Frankfurt School - Frankfurt - German City...

Is there more of a connection?

Seems we have a paradox. At least it looks like one.

People from the server give us 'the word from the doc".
That takes us to menace-media.
But they don't trust it/Jordan.

OK. unravelling the paradox.
    Option 1. Jordan is not Menace media. (Hacker or Pirate?)
    Option 2. The message was a warning not an invitation. (how do we check this?)
    Option 3. There is no good and evil here, just mistrust. (and we have lots of that going around)
    Option 4. There is no spoon. (most likely solution but hardly workable. At least... hmmm... maybe... nah.)

 		i think we need to get more info from the folks
in the server-- i'll try to keep a better eye out for
them hopping online. i emailed jordan and asked
if he had anything in particular that he'd like to ask
anne, jin or lisa.. (maybe he'll slip with something and
or reveal more with this.. dunno.. just a shot)

 		Did a search in the essex historical database here but i couldnt find any reference to a jordan davis being born in november of 42...

I know we talked about that yesterday on IRC, but again I want to question: Do we know for sure, that riddle mask is Lisa? As far as I know the nicks were used by different taken people even though Lisa is using the transmitter most. So if there are any convs, please ask who you are talking with Smile

And how do we know that him is really Jordan? Has anybody had a conversation with Lisa talking about Jordan Davis? If not, how does she know about him then? Or is she referring on Carl or any other taken male?

Shy: Did you have a talk with riddle mask and your post was an excerpt of that conversation? Or did one of the taken try to make contact and you couldn't answer because you have been away?

I mailed Jordan, if there is any other way to get in contact with him for example phone, IM or anything else. He hasn't answered my mail yet.

 		Is 'Ask your friends if they got the questions' a direct quote? If so... bad grammar or we read it wrong.

It should read 'ask your friends if they have got any questions [for him]'.

Otherwise...

We should 'recieve' some questions, that we obviously haven't 'got' yet.

If this is just a typo, ignore me. Razz

And I'm stealing 'THE MediaMenace' as a title because it just sounds so good in an alliteration. It doesn't mean I'm connected with Jordan Razz, I still don't like him. What 63 year old says 'Peace out'?

wanted to type something smart here but got distracted and now ... I lost my train of thought. May come back to me... some day. Toot toot.

I remembered. This almost sugests Jordan knows the questions and did not give them to us? That is if the "I don't trust him" was a reaction to the non-responsiveness to her question.

There must be something to this "peace out". Can't believe it was 'just comic relíef.'

okay so here's what i think we should do--
number 1: those that have the IM contacts with the "taken" please attempt to clarify what riddlemask means about "questions".. and then

number 2: we'll then invite jordan into IRC chat to ask those "questions" if we can get them and whatever other questions the rest of us have

time of chat: it would probably be best to select a time that's not too late for those of you in europe and not too early for those on or near the west coast in the states -- so how's somewhere between 3pm and 10pm GMT?
that really narrows it down.. eh? umm.. we can discuss
