Got this VERY ARG-ish email today from karmaSPLATs-mail.com:

The blog certainly smells like an ARG to me, and we have our first puzzle:

nilh344670SPLATyuvhyuay.qgf is probably an email address, yes? Not a straightforward Caesar cipher, but simple substitution.

EDIT: And we have a character, ladies and gentlemen.
Emailing the above address gives you the following reply:

 		Maybe you have to register yourself at s-mail.com for a free account and afterwards you can mail something to the given mail-address from the blog. I haven't tried that. It's just speculation.

EDIT: Sorry, on the second page, they tell you the account is only free for one month.

 		If it is a simple substution cipher then ".qgf" would probably translate to .com, .net, or .org in which case:
q= c, n, or o
g= o, e, or r
f= m, t, or g
Also, following that line of thought, if "yuvhyuay" is one word, then the letter that corresponds to "y" would have to be one with a high frequency in the english language (assuming that it is an english word) such as r,s,t,l,n,e. However, it is so short I don't see how it can be decrypted without some sort of key. Then again, I am not so good at decoding.

 		Hi guys

tried using 'never' 'clean' & 'never clean' in a Vignere cipher, no joy.

Got the same auto reply from karmaSPLATs-mail.com

then tried 'Andrew Mason', 'Andrew' & 'Mason'. Also 'ASAP' & 'Andy'

Nowt yet.

EDIT: - also tried, 'Karma', 'Issue', and any other italic / bold words. ROTting got nowhere either.

I used "ghost" as a virgenere key for the email address located in the "Ghost Town" post and got a .com to pop up.

I am still looking for figure out the rest of the key, but I think I've narrowed the solution down, atleast for now.

Kinda hoping that his AIM name ends with the same numbers at his encoded e-mail address... sure would help me break this stupid code. Smile

 		to follow up on my earlier post on the blog i sent the following email:
