It's all good!
Strangely, I did not expect Tombstone Hold 'Em to be as frenetic and unpredictable as it was. Silly me. I screwed up a beautiful 4-of-a-kind hand (Aces, even), causing ThaJinx to waste one of his Jokers. Still kicking myself over that one. But man, that is one fun game, and I'd like to try playing it again sometime.
The cemetery was slightly kooky, and very prettily laid out. I sat on a bench for a long while before the festivities started, and it amazed me yet again how quiet and peaceful cemeteries can be, even in the middle of Los Angeles.
The Favor portion of the day was fun, hearing everyone Gabba Gabba Hey for Ramone's sake, and seeing
a real live sexbot
Lucy walk right up into the middle of our group and finish the favor with us.
I got a piece of the Gun - a metal portion of the grip - discolored and smelling of oil (and gunpowder?). I had traveled from the Central part of the country (Chicago), and sort of self-selected as a 'close friend of Lucky's.'
Shad0 and HitsHerMark and I discussed backchannel a week or so before the event about doing something special at the final stop of the Favor. We had a couple ideas, but I suggested doing a series of haikus. Jet lag had me up at 6:30 AM on Saturday, so I sat in my hotel bed and scribbled until Avatrix and imbri woke up, and then bounced my poems off of them. Avatrix immediately came up with a format - begin and end with a general haiku, but have one haiku to represent each of the eight archetypes posed by the ARG.
Counting on fingers spasmodically, we worked 'em all out lickety-split, and then I asked people to help read them when the time came.
So, um, here they are!

Krystyn: Intro
At the graveside, it seems as if there is too little time to encapsulate or
summarize the meaning of someone's entire life.
Each hand we see played but never truly gives the full story, either, how
his voice felt in your ear in the wee hours of the morning, how her
slippered steps on the stairs were a slow brushed tempo of bottle and ice
and glass and loneliness.
For every card we turned up, we saw flashes of color - paint, a straight draw to the story's conclusion.
Avatrix:
American tale
Every one a western
This was Lucky's turn
ThaJinx:
Maurice reclaims Faith
A clean cut, quiet fervor
Chi-town man is missed
Weephun:
A dirty Sherriff
Killed a gangster, let him hang
He will kill your folks
imbri:
Guns don't kill people!
Canoes are more dangerous
Let the Gun decide
Shad0:
Kid in a saloon
Dumbwaiter as redemption
I want to go home
Krystyn:
Spider: dyke ninja
Lucy: needs more panties now
You know, camp, like Cher.
Woody:
Clay buried the Gun
No longer a man of God
Died, still a good man
Kona:
A man, a woman,
Victor's sweet aphrodite
Valentine's mee-ow
jamesi:
A child star; a drunk
Play a hand, have a comeback
clean and wonderful
Krystyn:
The curse is broken
one last week, one last favor
Thank you, Lucky Brown
Thanks to ThaJinx for transcribing and sending these to me. I ended up using his Puzzle Book to write all this stuff down, and I gave it back to him before I left.

Kona and others - we need names on the pics! I recognize many, but there are others known on the forums that I can't pick out - like ouroboros, just for example.

Now that I know how to add notes, I've been working on it. There are just so many folks who's names I do not know (like, the two fellows who ended up winning the tournament - who were those guys???).
If you know them, log into Flickr and add the note to identify them!!
Thanks.

For no particularly good reason, I think they might have been named Dan and Ron. Or something like that.

Third place was Konamouse and The Shark. Second place was Dan and Ron. First place was (forgive the possible misspellings) Dr. Cat and Trelos.
Yay, footage...

Re: [LIVE EVENT] Los Angeles Tombstone Poker, the Grand Fina A few photos .
(My first-ever upload to flickr. I didn't realize that flickr uses LIFO [stack] instead of FIFO [queue]. So they're all in reverse order. Oops.)

Did anyone save a transcript of the chat room during the final quest? Just curious about discussions that may have occurred (okay, I wanna know read the reactions in the room when Lucy showed up).

Wow, it was long, but fun to read everyone's reactions & comments as the site updated and then PMs arrived at the after-party.
