Just for the sake of correctness, you mean 2005 , right?

Just got my e-mail for completing the set:

Grrr. Does no one remember that girl in the anthro team I went out with for *six weeks* in the spring?!
Guess that confirms Kurt's romantic involvement with SC.

Hey - Don't suppose you'd fancy getting together after work tonight? Am sooo
exhausted, was thinking just a quiet dinner at Melinda's? Just the two of us - I
promise no discussion of work!

Hmm, so Tippy asks Garnet Reed out for dinner, and then half an hour later tells her friends that she thinks he has more important things to do than to hang out with them.
Does this mean that Garnet Reed turned her down (and so she decided to meet up with Von Lubik, Kurt McAllister, Anna Heath, Aiko Entrescore and Caine Johanssen instead)? And what did she want to talk to him about?
The plot thickens...
Or does it?

I notice that nobody in the top 3 positions has had an email (or am I wrong?) and certainly no doubled points for that set... possibly it's a boost for newer players to get them into contention faster?

No...everyone who solves a set of four gets "double points", as it says on the top of the cards - i.e. the four blues which are legally in circulation are all worth 35 points apiece. When you solve all four you've earned 140 points, then, *because* you've solved a "set", you get another 140.
At least...that is how I read it. The majority of people in the top three positions have been there for some time now, and this email glitch/leak has only started in the past few days, hence it's "newer" competitors (no offense intended, you know what I mean) who are getting these mails - the "older" players have already entered these solves (which seem to be generating this internal mail server glitch at the Academy) some time ago.

Ah, I thought people were getting points doubled again, rather than just the bonus for solving the set. That's alright then, I was wondering how they were going to justify giving people such a bonus
