[TRIVIA] Going to a forbidden section... http://www.orbiconcorp.com/docs/ is the site I went to to see what I could find. Well I go and it says I do not have authorization which is fine, but why is it so rude and angry about it. Does anyone have an idea...

The brashness could be due to the recent security breech when they got hacked, or they could be hiding something

I wouldn't bet on that.
http://www.orbiconcorp.com/images/ says the same thing. It's just because you try to load up the index page to see what is in that directory. In other words: it's the default error page for unauthorized index page access attempts
The existence of the docs directory is known since this file appeared: http://www.orbiconcorp.com/docs/creditcardapp.pdf

exactly but there also has to be a way to access it somehow, just how

Hacking is against ARG etiquette, I understand. I don't believe there must be another "clean" way inside. There's always an index page for any directory and you either bother to create an error page for it or not.
But then again you might be right, it's not impossible, but I really don't see this here at the moment, I must say.

The strong word usage is definatly NOT a reaction to the recent hack. Rather, I stumbled across the message via /images several days before the hack. Mentioned it in the chart room, but never felt it deserved a post.

Yeah, it's a pretty standard 403 error message. When I worked as a web programmer I regularly wrote similar messages. The "Should not be repeated" bit is there to assure users that there really is no way for them to access the page, and any repeated attempts are just going to be a waste of their time, and also of server resources.
Those messages have been there since the site was discovered, so I wouldn't read too much into them.

It is very common practice for ARGs (not to mention legitimate sites) to hide the files inside of subdirectories. It allows them the freedom to put in files for testing or to be found later without everyone knowing right away what is all in there. Where would the fun be if we could see every file on the website as soon as it was loaded? And as far as I know, there is no way of accessing he direct contents of the directores without being an administrator of the website. It's not as if it's a passworded folder and you just need to come up with the right user/pass - it's the way the webserver serves up the site to the net. The only way to see the files is going to be through FTP or the file management system of the website.
Just trust me when I say that trying to read anything into a strongly worded 403 is just going to leave you bloody and bruised.

Furthermore, this is not even a custom 403/401 error message for Orbicon, but a standard one that is used by that specific webspace provider and a lot of other providers as well (mine, for example).

Yeah and then reading through all the rules of the Orbitalcolony.com rulebook it says if someone gets into them and post it in here then they may stop the game, it just seemed strange, also, a little off topic has anyone else been bugged by the coin with the angled panel on it

It's strange that they don't want hackers trying to ruin the game for everyone? Call me confused, but I just don't see it.
As they said, brute-forcing uses up bandwidth (causing them money) and spoils surprises (ruining the game for everyone else). And they do not say that they will stop the game. They say that they will cancel your game registration (ie not allow you to play anymore) and that they will inform everyone else as to who the troublemaker is. So not only will you not be allowed to play OC, the community at large might make sure you don't play anything again unless you can prove you can play nice.
And no, I'm not borthered by the coin with the angled panel on it. It's just a microchip.

I could be wrong but i think he is just saying the 403 page seemed strange. Not the fact that they don't want to be hacked.
