our source "countdown" thus far
Quote:

<!-- g r y -->
<!-- VEWS SEB FFF VEYR -->
<!-- barahanabira [1, 2, 3, 4, 6] -->

went thru and checked dates and source changes and
today is "1" (tomorrow is "0") Wink
edit: the gry and the VEWS SEB FFF VEYR came in on the same day
both give us "three"-- maybe the pm saw us attempting to make
gry into 4 and frustrated sent off another "three" clue???

ok, since labfly posted the entire progression its easy to see the entire countdown, up until the last source. I see no way possible to get "2" from barahanabira [1, 2, 3, 4, 6] unless we just assume it was split into 2 words Dunno

I still stick firm to the "Get Ready Yall" Confused

First, thanks to Atrophied and Glecius for the IRC help. I'll join everyone as soon as I can.

Second, thank oogle for Google. Let's see, after nearly giving up from frustrating attempts to search for "barahanbira", "rose petals", and "[1,2,3,4,6]", I also tried "[1,2,3,4,5,6]", so I reread the thread.

In desparation, I key: "How many petals does a rose have?"

And bingo -get a link to this interesting site:
http://www.borrett.id.au/computing/petals-j.htm

Haven't figured it out yet, but will work on it after school.

I found a similar link with dice, but couldnt find it. The idea behind it from what I read is that there is a mathematical formula to get this right everytime. I was not able to figure it out, but it could help us if we could get it figured out. If for no other reason, just to beat the game Laughing

Heh..

The Petals Around the Rose is an old puzzle, famous, for one, because Bill Gates was unable to solve it without brute forcing. But the answer is easy. Here's a huge hint, spoilered for those who want to solve it on their own.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Think visually.

If nothing, still enjoyed the puzzle.

Oh yeah, [1, 2, 3, 4, 6] in petals around the rose is equal to 2.

That was almost too easy...

The password is 'Clockstop the Whys'. It leads to a new page with a new image, containing another riddle:

"Seek first she who kept him secret.
Her name I don't remember,
but was the sound of the rising sun."

In the source there seem to be many hex characters.
