Sorry for messing this up...you don't need a password to get to the second page, but you need it to reach the third. There is another image there.

Anyone care to post a spoiler about the password for the 3rd page? I've tried several variations of
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Clockstop the Whys
as well as
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
me
since the last line of the poem says "the key to the lock is me".

I left your answer. I was having problems getting the password bar to even come up, just close the website and bring it back up and it should be fixed

not jibberish, would be nice if we could find something to substitute strokes though lol. Its java, but the spaces and "&" are changed =/

It's a bunch of hex characters translating to the actual source code. Embedded in it is a comment, but this I have to check out later.

Hi, I am brand new. I've never done this before, but it looks like qu13e will be my first ARG.
I don't know much about codes, but I an proficient in Japanese so hopefully that will come in handy. I wish I'd been here for the countdown: =+, I think, means 二十 which is Japanese for 20. That sort of stuff. So I hope I'll be able to help.
About the "rising sun"...the rising sun is a very important symbol of Japan. What with all of the Japanese stuff in here, I wouldn't be surprised if that somehow related to Japan.
I'm not exactly sure how everyone is getting the source code. When I did that I didn't see a countdown at all, just a bunch of html...
Anyway, hope I can help!

Welcome aboard! Can you read the picture above referencing the rising sun and think of anyting within Japanese culture or people it might be referring to?
Also, we are in IRC if you would like to join us.

Another n00b question: how do I get into IRC?
I'm thinking about the picture. I'll get into IRC with you guys ASAP. "Rising sun" in Japanese is 旭, which is pronounced "Aki". "Her" name might be Aki. This is just speculation...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also, I found the words "j a v a s c r i p t . r e q u 13 i e r e d" in the source code.

IRC can be accessed either [url=http://www.unfiction.com/chat/]here or using your favourite client (mIRC, trillian etc.) and pointing it at irc.chat-solutions.org:6667
If you use the java applet (click the above link), just change the channel to qu13e and you're 'nickname' to whatever you wish to be called when you enter.
Then click the arrow at the bottom of the applet.
Tha above was borrowed from Atrophied

Now what?
Code:
lots of code removed because it messes up the page
I "unhexed" it
