Perhaps print it to an acetate slide, then project it out of focus, such that it actually prduces a focussed image? Could be an interesting route to follow!

I like this idea. The name of the card: to make clear
Von's hint: It may not be clear
I like the out of focus idea, too!

That's excellent - does anyone have the facility to do this? I wish I had the card, I'd look into getting that done tomorrow if I did.

maybe by 'it represents itself well' it means that its an accurate representation of what the thing would look like if it was clear. Though what that means I don't know. I would definitely try the copy on to accetate idea.

Maybe the card has peculiarities of printing that would only be noticed if it were projected.

I have clear acetate and I believe my printer can print on it. (He says to most of the forum and looking like a prat if it doesnt) But I dont have any way to project it.

So if I can print it, I can send it to some1 who can project it?

Hmm. 'It represents itself well'.

Now it's got me thinking it's something to do with water. Water is clear - lucid - and water, as in 'well'... tenuous, I know. Seabed contours?

(I've just tried holding up a glass of water to my screen at various angles. Nothing, of course, becomes apparent! Smile

But I'm sure we're on to something; I think there may be something in that it 're-presents' itself somehow, perhaps when being focused as Langley Moor suggests.

I've hestitated posting this 'hiccup' that occured on the leaderboard a couple of few weeks ago, because it has one of the member's names all over it, and I don't know if this is relevant to this card, or not. But I found it curious that this card is referred to as:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Voice pattern
I kept getting this info every time I refreshed the main page of the leaderboard. Maybe someone with code knowledge can make heads or tails of it? Confused

***edit***
I'm thinking this is this member's attempted solve entries (sets of 3), but included the whole thing for comparison of what's included for each card's *extra* info. In hindsight, I should have blocked out the member's name. My apologies to this member if nothing comes of it! Embarassed

I also find it curious that *all* of this text showed up as UPPERCASE, but only shows as lowercase (except for 'RIGHT NOW' at the beginning) when copied and pasted. Not important, I know... Just weird. Shocked

***edit again***

Liking the acetate idea

Also like the idea of water. An underwater volcano for example would have the effect of being dark in the middle (highest point), and lighter around the edges (near the sea bed)

I had a thought about seperating the lines from the circles to make 2 pictures. I say this because there is a line going through every circle, so if this was one picture, I would expect the lines to go around the circles i.e rivers around a mountain, not through it.

Maybe these two pictures would be different representations of the same thing?
Time for the tracing paper methinks!

Sorry for my basic language on my post, it was a bit difficult to explain!

About the:

idea.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I've done a lot of speech synthesis stuff last year, and I got to thinking. This image looks a bit like a spectrogram of a male voice. I may be wrong, but I'll take a closer look when I get home.

Great stuff. I'm at home now so I'll check out the theory too. I've not got the card either so somebody will have to try out potential answers.
