a reference to the Aquapolis?

...also if the first pic hasn't been figured out why would they just go to the next pic? Wouldn't the host wait until it had been cracked?

I'm not sure about that, because do you HONESTLY believe that MetaCortex would have Thomas Anderson's info STILL in the database after like 3 years???

Matrix time is odd, maybe we are actually ahead of the matrix...

Good god.. my brain hurts.

Lotics => Aquapolis?

So.. Lotics could be used to refer to the ppl in The Aquapolis... Also, there must be something else about the construction of that resort.. something big. They could have invented anything, smaller events, but this is a big one... The 8th wonder of the world, right?

Could that slogan be a clue to Wonderland? Like things will eventually converge to the aquapolis in some way we can't undertand yet?

I could see the aquapolis as a haven for humans should the Earth be scorched... Even because there are beings in the water that don't need sunlight do produce food... But that is WAY too far from the topic...

I was thinking about the red dots on the metacortechs map... do those places have anything in common? I noticed they chose to put their brazilian bureau in Manaus... Since I live in Brazil I can point that there is a technological "free of charges zone" in Manaus, so it makes some sketchy sense...

But there is also the Amazon rainforest... Likewise, they have an office in melbourne... I'm not sure if the great reef barrier goes down there...

Why do they flash green after you select Redland? Could the order be some clue?

Um. That's a VERY good point. Reloaded takes place six months after M1, so they're somewhere in 2000, Matrix time, probably. Revolutions takes place very soon after that. And in Revolutions,
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Smith has taken over everyone in the Matrix, which is itself breaking down

So...the timeline of this game does not entirely make sense. Er, tiny plot hole? Sorry if this is off-topic, but I didn't bring it up, just responding. Very Happy

Either a plot hole or, if this is a promotion for TMO, it takes place after Revolutions and we are just not aware of it yet.

Timeline

I don't think we should try to connect everything we find to something in the movie... I mean, the game's an extension of the movie, sure, but there are some strange things to it... Like that timeline discontinuity.

One thing could be that we are seeing a post-revolutions matrix, but that'd be odd, at least to me. The other possibility is that they really did get confused with the dates... : P

But let's get back to the puzles... I'm surprised none of them has dealt with mathematics yet.. We have a hint with the prime/Fibonacci theory, but I was expecting to see heavy computer and mathematical thinking needed, since they say the W Brothers like math very much, and philosophy also... But since Phil Gairden is a philosopher, we might expect to see some of that later...

Another thing that bothers me is the constant qouting of both "A Brave New World" and "Alice in Wonderland"... While Alice is old news in the Matrix, ABNW is new, at least to me...

Could there be some connection between ABNW and the aquapolis?

Well, the roots are: 1, 2, 3, 5.

Can you say Fibonacci? I'm betting the next file will be 01000000.jpg, for 64, root 8.

But theres another 1 left out either before or after that 1.

Someone else said this, but its pretty much impossible to have two of the same files... i mean, don't expect a different image with the same name... so the 1s may be fine the way they are.

1st picture

I know there must be a message hidden in that pic, but I guess that the main was just: "I see always new things to learn" in the pictures... Meaning the there would be always new clues hidden within the pictures...

Something else, on Aquapolis site in the Overview section there is a word, Dockulus, a word they made up:

Quote:

The unique spherical construction will enable open interior spaces, and access to the surface via a Dockulus, so guest may dock and have access to their boats at The Aquapolis marina during their stay.

Re: The Wheel

I was in irc and someone said "So, yeah. The wheel. I hear it's round, but I haven't downloaded it myself. What happens if you put it in a layer with the filing cabinet? DO you get a rolling cabinet?"

But I haven't downloaded the wheel either. Anyone tried this? Maybe the red dots line up to the ones on the wheel!

I prefer keeping what's known about this in spoiler form:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
From the official site for the game:
"When does the game take place?"
The Matrix Online timeline takes place after The Matrix Revolutions, the third Matrix movie....

Also:
"Where does The Matrix Online take place?"
The Matrix Online takes place within the Matrix. No "real world" game play will take place. Characters in The Matrix Online will be logged into the Matrix and aboard a hovercraft at broadcast depth.

All from the FAQ.

Pictures in the Metacortex intro flash

I read on another forum (Zion TLFC, I guess) that one of those pictures is of a girl on a stool in a subway station... Can anyone confirm that?

SPOILER:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Because there's a subway station in the Revolutions trailer and pictures from the official site...
