On a side note, I'll be very busy in the month of November. I am participating in the annual National Novel Writing Month (50,000 words in 30 days), so naturally, I'll be pretty busy punching away at my keyboard.
BUT, that certainly doesn't limit me from working on other storylines, plots, etc. I'll just need to keep the manhours of work to a minimum.

Thank You.

Although I'm not going to be available to work BTS for a while, I can offer two things to the general community.

1. For anyone interested in adding a bit of Latin to their game, I know it, and I can translate mottos, phrases, and such on the fly. (I can do longer translations, too, but you should ask for those ahead of time. A paragraph is about the upper limit.)

2. I WILL PROOFREAD ANYTHING.
Seriously, anything. Press releases, blog entries, ancient manuscripts, ANYTHING to keep the grammar and spelling in these games decent.

Actually, one more thing:

3. I may, if you ask very nicely, be interested in making swag. I'm a crafty lady who does stuff like this, and if you have a swag idea, I can package it up really nice. I will charge you cost of materials, although if you're willing to pay time too, I'll take it. Smile

I can't promise that I'll always be available, but if you catch me online I can usually help out.

I'm not really big on all the technical stuff (HTML, etc..) but..

-Excellent writer (my dad does it for a living; I've grown up around creativity and impeccable verbal expression)
-Good with codes, ciphers, etc..
-Generally good with ideas 'n such.

Not a lot, but hey..what I lack in quantity I make up for in quality. Very Happy

I'd love to do some behind-the-scenes work.

I'm pretty good with puzzlecrafting, fictionwriting, and nifty ideas.
Just never the guy who gets around to implementing them.

I can provide some samples of my work in both puzzlecraft and fiction should somebody be needed in my services. Just PM me and I can throw out some things I've been working on for the hell of them.

My schedule is fairly open, so contact should almost never be a problem, but be warned that I'm not exactly the best with deadlines (I get things done at 2AM the night before... and that's things I have to do).

A taste:

Assume something in the story will need unlocking of a three-digit combination, maybe a public locker or something of that sort. The only thing to go on is a scrawled note reading:

(resro + ensid + esige + texhq + hvitc) - (hsshd + tnigo + eexic + evirq + reste) = ?

Minor Hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "?" is not the answer, per se, but vital to getting it.

Major Hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The "?" is not directly the answer, but the system determinate.

Massive Hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It works off of a 5x5 matrix system...

Monstrous Hint:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...with a three-character shift.

Answer:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The matrix that gives that gives those 5x5 measures as the system determinate is:

r e e t h | r e e t
v e n s e| v e n s
x i s s i | x i s s
g h t r i | g h t r
d e q c o| d e q c

Three seven six is right code. (q)
376.

Call me sometime, eh? Wink

Updated 12/17/10 - Does anybody even read this far anymore?

Holla, etc.

*Writer: creative, thesis-controlled, journalistic, editorial, script, professional -- you name it, I can do it. Won some awards, got published. Terrible poet, however.
*Roleplayer: my favorite hobby other than ARGing is creating characters and playing them in text-based environment. Extremely skilled at pretending to be someone else in real time or not.
*Can act: I've been in a couple productions, full-length and not. I can voice act and appear in living color in-character in a snap.
*Languages: English, Spanish, Russian, Sahidic Coptic (seriously, I mean it), in order of proficiency. As a budding linguist, language acquisition and manipulation are my right and left hands. Which is to say, faking it is easier than you think.
*Obscure Knowledge: if only trivia made the world go round. Anything from Shakespeare to boating to pop culture, I got it.
*Puzzles: I've made puzzle trails before, and when I get bored sometimes I slam things together. Puzzle DESIGN is what I'm best at - sometimes the implementation is beyond me. Fortunately, I work well with others. Ask for a sample puzzle if you'd like.
*Located in the Phoenix area.
*Martial artist. I will kick butts until results are achieved.
*Adaptable to virtually anything thrown at me. I've been on several games that have failed, changed gears in midstream, launched too early, etc etc. You can't surprise me. The most notable game I've worked on was the .hack homage by Chronosis Labs - I wrote the puzzles for the second game (notably, my puzzles were the only things that were ever launched).
*Available at a low-low price of $5.99.

Busy.

-writing: I can write about anything and everything, and have. Currently in a creative writing class as well, can write essays, fiction, and an amazing variety of different types of poetry. I also know how to use the highlighters in microsoft word to good advantage, several friends credit me with having saved their IB extended essays.
-roleplaying: I've participated in roleplaying games of all kinds for several years now. I've ran one of my own once, though it was a short game... and I gained a lot of experience with problem players and creative ways to make them stop acting like idiots without going out as a GM and saying "stop that."
-languages: I've been taking French for about 5 years. I also have an interest in learning alternative alphabets, and can use several (though not necessarily perfectly, I'm working on it.)
-arts and crafts: I haven't taken an art class or anything, but I can do a lot of things with my hands. I can make origami, I can do beadwork, I can make chain mail, and if given directions I can learn to do almost anything of such nature. Given advance warning, I can make and mail out such things.

I'll admit up front that I have almost no skills in coding or programming anything, though I am willing to learn if it becomes necessary. I also would not be able to do live events or anything with phones.

Hello there.

Just up front, I can do pretty much no programming/website stuff whatsoever. HTML, C++, Python, heck, Squeak - you name it, and I can't do it. I would be able to maintain, for example, a Livejournal rather well (or several - I have a lot of spare time and I like pretending to be a variety of other people).

Now that my limitations are out of the way, let's take a look at what I'm good at and why you want to work with me.

- I'm a rather good writer. I've done everything from the typical plethora of unfinished novels that people like myself attempt to essays on determinism. I mainly focus on fantasy and sci-fi fiction and physics and philosophy non-fiction. Well, maybe non-fiction. That's the fun of physics and philosophy - you never know if it's fiction or not. I also talk too much, as you can plainly see.

- I'm available. I'm around a lot, and I'm online all the time, and I'm proficient with pretty much every form of internet communication there is. And, to compliment that,

- I'm a decent actor. More importantly, as long as I'm not communicating on the phone or in person, I will not break character or lose consistency. Many story-oriented ARGs fail because of inconsistency between the characters. I'm not gonna talk about my pet rat on a LJ and then chat about a mouse on MSN.

- I can do all sorts of spiffy things with music. I have the technology to make sound. Sound is good. Musical "ciphers" and such I can do (and have), and I'm also a rather good composer.

- I'm weird. This is good. Any storylines/personas/puzzles I come up with will be off-the-wall, unique, and entirely unfamiliar to players, no matter how simple they are. The downside to this is that I can rarely do the same puzzle twice, because my puzzle ideas could be easily solved using the same methods, unless I put some sort of minor variation on it. Which, of course, I will. So that's not too much of a problem. But just pointing it out.

Allow me to share with you my interest here. I am not looking to create the most difficult trail in ARGing history. I am not trying to be mysterious and cool and "Ooh, an ARG, how special." What I want to do is create a story. I've ventured into the storytelling arts of books, webcomics, music, video games, and occasional journal iterations. The Haunted Apiary has convinced me that good storytelling can happen through an ARG, so now I wish to explore that venue. I want to make a game that's believable and immersive, preferrably centered on some sort of philosophical idea, because making the player think will get them even more into the story and makes it more interesting for everyone. If it's the story of an ARG that you're concerned with, give me a call on any of my contact thingies and we'll work from there.

I'll shut up now.

Ahhhh, okay then:

-Big fan of char. interaction(Super IM stuff, basically my hobby) and writing. My fave thing about ARGs.
-Some good Photoshop stuff.
-Audio editing with the shizzaz!
-I'm a champion Sunflower Seed Spittah!
-Pretty good at website design, especially if it involves screwing with Source Codes.
-I'm 13, so if you need a 13 year old's recorded voice...well, here it is.(I really hope this doesent diminish any respect, I have had much PM experience. Plus I played ILB and got some axons.)
-Yoyoyo!

Okay, cool. So PM me if you need any help or something (I'm busy with a project of my own, but I still have a little free time), or email me mastermindo7SPLATyahoo.com.
