They definitely would love thinking that they've got a star Earth player in their midsts... doublecrossing doublecrossers works A-OK for me. I third Ollie as our mole.
(So long as he doesn't triplecross us... / )

Has anyone got any ideas as to how I could obtain Helena Frye's email, or similar form of contact?

I think just coming up to a possible agent and saying "Hey, can I join?!" is a bit tactless (no offense).
I think you should write something in the book, and code the request. Give away some insignificant piece of true information as well; build trust while pretending to switch. If you need, I'm sure somebody else around here can knock out a cipher for you.
Just remember: they were smart enough to lead us on a goosechase to test our abilities. Underestimating them could be a fatal mistake.

However, I think putting in a book: "Hey, I want to join an evil society responsible for stealing the cube" might cause riots, and book burnings.

I'm with Olly. He's a plausible mole (I mean that in the politest way) and it could yield very interesting results... Also I like the idea we're getting them back - they infiltrated us, after all... Still gutted I missed the helicopter scene
Yeah, I missed it too.

Too true; bah, I'm sure we can work a way to do this.
Let them know, but be covert, without direct approach...
Must be some way we're not thinking of yet.
Anybody else?

I love the idea of Olly trying to infiltrate them too. In order to gain their trust, though, he'd have to offer some actual information about the Earth-based team. And it will probably have to be something more than just who's at the top of the leaderboard... Any ideas?

I think we should call the book Terra Incognita . Because the layered meanings entertain me. Or just Terra. Sounds like a catchy zine title

I suppose we could always make something up and have all of us agree to go with it as if that were true. Just brainstorming... I slept in today and am still a bit groggy.
