 		We definitely missed the mark here. After what seemed like the LONGEST poker game with a player in HISTORY, we still couldn't pull out a popup.

It seemed when 1 of us was on the right track, the others would go off on another tangent, and screw up the... thought process.

But two things Victor said reverberated the entire time, he wanted us to know about the Curse, and start knowing who else it might effect (besides Lucy/Kerry).

And he wanted us to convince Kerry that he was worth more than just a means to kill, and to stop the "Spilling of blood", which would in fact, bring us back to the curse topic once again. Basically, I assume if enough people phone with support for Kerry, and say the right things, the whole "death of everyone" theme may be averted.

Actually, I don't think this was ever meant to lead to a popup. It was prompted by the fact that no one was (yet) leaving the correct information on Kerry's voice mail. I believe this game was purely informational.

And I also think we got it, in the end. Look at what we were discussing when Vic decided it was okay to leave. Vic kept coming back to the curse. He had asked whether anyone other than Kerry was a "son of a son of a son," and AmberJoy had just promised to look through the historical documents again. Our instructions/advice/message-from-the-Great-Beyond was to do that, and call Kerry.

And one more thing: Having reread this thing until my eyeballs are bleeding, not once did anyone ever say that Lucy was also a son of a son of a son. (That may even be what prompted Vic's comment about gender -- making sure we knew that a "son" could actually be a daughter.) There was some discussion of Lucy and Kerry possibly being related to each other, and some of Lucy possibly being related to JEB Stuart (who, we now know, never even had the Gun), but no one actually said anything about Lucy being a Smith the way Kerry is a Sullivan.

Until right at the end, just before Vic left.

I think that was it. I think that was the puzzle in Nita McPherson's documents, and the PMs had to make sure we solved it before Wednesday's update. I sure hope I'm right, because if I am then we won't have another day of insanity come Wednesday.

(Well, except for that whole unsolved Morse Code thing, of course... Mr. Green )

anyway, Lucy has several brothers too who would qualify more specifically as son of a son of a son.

 		But both Kerry & Lucy are descendent from Sullivan & Smith through at least one woman (Kellie Sullivan & Mary Smith). So daughters can pass along the curse.

 		When he talks about "gendered language", I think the intention is that we shouldn't focus on the "sons of sons" being specificly male.

I think all these "sons" are just to indicate future generations in general. Because,

You sons and "a daughter", and the sons and daughters or your sons and daughters..."

Is unwieldy to say.

Though I think the theme of being unable to tell good from evil is the line to take with Kerry.

I can't help but think he's planning some combination of Texas Hold'em and Russian Rulette for Don and Lucy.

What else could he mean by "letting the gun decide"?

He is weighting it in Lucy's favor of course, because she's the pro-player out of the three, but still... It's a bad idea and we need to talk him out of it.
