[QUESTION] Faded picture at paranormal journal?

Why does this picture look faded? And is there something significant about the letters PRJ?

To me, it resembles a scanned magazine cover. The reflective paper used would cause that kind of fading.

If you look at the purple bar next to the letters it looks like it's covering up some letters behind it. And if you look in the bottom right corner there are some symbols wich look like arabic or something, especially when you zoom in. Dunno, just a thought...

Hey, that's cool! I think this is a puzzle that might be just as important as paintover. Maybe.

Thanks. Here's what he posted folks.

I am going to guess that it is simply text, scaled down and pixelized. I would think likely candidates would be things like "Phillip Gairden, Editor" or "Published quarterly, beginning in Winter." It is probably the publish date and cover price or "Published quarterly" followed by a cover price. If you look at the last two short clumps of pixes, it looks like it could be a two blurred/scaled characters (perhaps a dollar sign and digit), a space (which could be a period scaled down), and two more characters (the cents). Most periodicals have a publish date and price on the cover.

I'm going to guess that we're chasing pixels here. Still, it seems that there should be something at the Cascade Vortex site or Paranormal Journal site--we've found nothing "behind the scenes" in either place, except for a little bit of backstory.

Damn Bri, you sure shoot down a lot of theories here. Is there anything at all about the Metacortex sites you DO think is important?
