The problem is that there is no real direction of where to go with this puzzle. There are no hidden layers in the picture. The picture file name is "clover3", which is no help to us at all.

The fact that the pictures occupy the same space means, to me, that they occupy the same heading. If the solve for this turns out to be something absolutely rediculous, I'm going to cry.

If this is something that involves both pictures (the dove and the clovers) then the answer could be just about anything, as the above post proves. Which basically means that it's a dead end puzzle with numerous possibilities for solves. And, given the fact that it takes Vincent up to 24 hours to respond to an e-mail, it would take us months to try and figure out which one of those answers is the correct one.

Now, I could be wrong and the answer could be staring me in the face and I'm just too blind to see it. But, unfortunately, unless a miracle happens in the next 7 hours, I really don't see Andy living through this. Which is okay by me, since I never really liked the guy in the first place. I really hate when people complain about their life turning to crap and end up being drunks. As far as I can tell, Andy has done this to himself. Let him figure a way out of it.

If Vincent really wants the codes cracked, he'll hand them over or move onto someone else. We still have some documents to "put him away" with, so it's no bother to me.

That still doesn't give a positive answer as to what the real answer should be. When you solve a puzzle there should be different answers based on how you went about solving it. However, there should be something within the puzzle that says "No, THIS one is really the one that you should be using". I just don't see that here.

Anyway, new day, new puzzle. Don't really care right now about trying to solve it. I have to go to work.

Andy posted on his blog:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I ve been handed a laptop, been told to write.

"Any last words?" Yeah, get me the hell outta here would b a start. Im sorry I screwed up, I m sorry things didnt work out and sorry I hit the bottle that one stupd fateful night.

Sorry I didnt choose to live my life a little better.

-A.M.

Also another update on vinces site:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I GAVE YOU 48 HOURS. YOU FAILED.
NOW...
sUbinMo SohtYm
11-1-66 64-2-18 497-2-27 174-1-28
I suggest a Library.

Looking at it i see:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

sUbinMo SohtYm = mythos omnibus

so the codes underneath it will be book codes referring to the pages certain letters are on...

Man, that kinda makes me wish that the book was even at my library... which it isn't, because I checked. Too bad... guess I'll never know what the answer is. Smile

Sigh

I missed too much of this I think, to jump in now. I am thinking perhaps these ARG's aren't for me. Thank you all for your time.

Oh dear. Don't go yet! Maybe this just isn't the right ARG for you, since it's already been going on for 22 pages. Have you looked at Orbital Colony?

There is a META site, made by the people who are creating the game, explaining the basics here. There's also a player-created wiki. These two resources, plus the other players, should be able to help you get up to speed fairly quickly and painlessly.

The game is just starting, although it's been anticipated for a long time, so there are a lot of threads in the forum, but since that game is larger, players have devoted more time to helping other players get caught up quickly than they have for this game. And please don't be afraid to ask questions -- most people here are very friendly and eager to help other players figure out what's going on.

Before you give up entirely on ARGs, I'd suggest trying a different game. ARGs are sort of like movies -- there are some that appeal to almost everyone, but for most of them, not every game is going to be right for every player.

So welcome, and please don't go yet! Smile

I think you are getting your ARG's mixed up... but I understand. Smile

However, this one is in the late stages so I would agree that it's sort of late to jump on, but you can always jump onboard this or any other game... just read the rest of the thread to catch up and you'll be set.

Welcome to ARG's and I hope you'll stick around for some of the other games that are just starting up or are about to. You just never know what game is going to excite you next.

I received a mysterious email..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Subject was: RE: Mason

We need to talk. Tell no one. -Guy-

So I set up an appointment on yahoo. I posted the transcript here..

so i waited with posting it, since i thought the game was dying, but then this morning i found the following mail in my mailbox:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Hey Draghkar, We set up the raid today, I got some good news and some not so good. Ok, so we busted Vincent for drug dealing and possesion, got 3 of his men on similar charges and Andy is alive getting checked over as I type. No one got hurt just as I promised. Bad news is Don Kalakov was nowhere in sight, we hope to track him down within the next couple of days. I managed to sort through that code you said was linked to the book, since I guess it was more convenient that way.. The way I read it it translates to this (considering it runs as page number, paragraph,
word number):
One Of Them
Will Die
does that mean anything to you? Hope it helps, did you have any luck deciphering that other puzzle of yours? -Guy----

I am sure this is IG now. wasnt sure in the beginning and i think that we are back on track now...

New entry on Andy's blog confirms he's free, but it sounds like he's not close to Guy and was surprised that Guy was the one to save him.

Does Andy know?

Hey all,

It seems were a bit stuck on the puzzle still, and Guy maybe hinting that it might still be useful to work it out.

Has anyone asked Andy if it means anything to him?

(Ram clutches his straw very tightly!!)

Hey it's along shot, but it's the only puzzle we have so far!
