Quite a few updates here...

First of all, the Gateway index page switched the "Information Removed" to "Information Obtained" - for whatever reason, hehe - and this leads to http://vaporlofts.com/gateway/4points.html .
There are the four GPS coordinates that started this whole thing. Here's the text:

Location clues were left as ordered in an obvious enough location for the next potential subject's discovery of them. It is believed at this time that she will inevitably search for the significance of these numbers and resultantly will discover that they are coordinates for Vapor, Inc. establishments. This is the second effort at guiding the potential subject towards communication with the company; the first attempt was disregarded by the subject.


They mention a "first attempt" to contact the subject, which was ignored...what would that be?

THE OTHER

Little is known about The Other.

However, the legend maintains that there are rifts in the fabric of our world that can sometimes be crossed. There are tales that these rifts can be managed by those who have enough ability and strength. One such tale has surfaced from recent archaelogical discoveries; it features a god-like individual named Shi-Pho, who carries the burden for all eternity of protecting mortals from exposure to The Other. He must remain vigilant and guard against excessive tears in these rifts that create pathways allowing all manner of good and evil to traverse from The Other.

Children's tales, perhaps. But all legend is based on an element of truth.

Shi-Pho = Shinpu ?
The Other is most certainly the place the Gateway leads to.

Each point in the system lies in a critical location globally for portal establishment, not only in that it is easiest to generate a rift in these areas, but it is easiest to maintain control over that which passes between our side and the Other [more information available for this topic]. Satellite locations support each of these developments, but the crux of the management of gateways falls upon the Vapor developments in these four cities.

I did some guessing here. The '&', '>', and '?' plaintext characters translate to 'U', '~', and '!', respectively.
I'm almost positive about the ! -> ? translation - makes sense in context. The ~ -> > one is a little more iffy, but it's the only thing that makes sense. U -> & is the one I'm least positive about.

Sounds completely non-ominous.

 		The 4points cipher is completely non-informative, if not to say superfluous, because we had something very similar already.

Once again, the mp3 is a mystery. I embrace this break from the ciphers and I'd wish I was smart enough to figure out their purpose...but I'm at a complete loss. This latest one very much sounds like it hides something - it's pretty distorted, yet rhythmic, like many of the mp3s VL put out so far.

The only thing I was able to find is the haiku which was written in the comment for this mp3:

If ghost shapes can rise / Cherry blossoms and lotus / Hold little meaning


A-ha. If there are ghosts, flowers are worth crap? Or what? Laughing

 		ATL Cords
if those are the same cords, i'd like to mention that i actually took my gps unit to the site in atlanta, and found nothing there but a thin strip of foliage between offramps at the atlanta airport.

i can go back and see if anything may have been hidden there, but i assure you that no kind of "construction" is going to be going on there anytime soon.

 		There's been an update to theother.html. Added is what looks like a link saying "391226". Looking in the source, we see the following:
