Flickr Puzzles

I'm really too busy these days for a full time ARG, but I thought it would be cool to create some little mini-puzzles and post them on Flickr. I imagine this has been done before, but I haven't been able to find an existing group for it yet. Anyway, I thought it would be best to go ahead and get started instead of just day-dreaming. Here's my first puzzle:

I'm sure most of you will solve it with no sweat. I'd really like my future puzzles to be much more integrated into the scene, and maybe even hard to recognize as a puzzle in the first place. Some puzzles could actually get quite complex and take up a whole series of photos, and some photos could enclose many different puzzles -- possibly hidden in different ways.

If anyone is interested in creating puzzles and posting them on Flickr, please let me know and I'll create a group. If you think this is a good idea and know of a better way to publicize it, please do. It's all about community after all.

Ok, here's my second puzzle:

This one should be a little more straight forward for you folks, and hopefully a little more interesting.

And here's a 3rd one that takes place on a chess board:

The solution is text. You'll know it when you find it.
Sorry about the image quality, I couldn't get the light right.

(Since this is my third post without a reply, I'll not keep posting unless someone wants more.)

Really, it has less to do with me not wanting to reply, and more to do with me having NO IDEA AT ALL what the answers are.

I'm sure you understand Wink

To be honest, this is something I'd like to do myself, but I lack a camera.

In the interest of fun, I've added some hints in the comments. Don't worry about spoilers, the hints are encoded.

Cheers for those!

Puzzle 3 is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
nobility

The first two may be lost on me, as cryptography was never my strong point. Your clue for the second one didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but maybe I just need to take a closer look Smile
