Great games last night. Playing Halo with you all is usually fun, but it felt unusually so last night. (I seemed to be playing unusually well too, which I'm not sure what to chalk up to...) Good to see some of you who I haven't seen during my absence over the past few months, too.

Also, thanks for putting up with my scratched disc - I'm really not sure what happened to it, as it was working fine, and it's not like I did anything with the disc between when it worked and didn't work. I'll pick up a new copy later today so it won't be an issue; I actually tried to run out to Wal-mart to grab a new copy, but all they had was the triple pack, which is a bit of a rip-off.

Anyway, see you all on again soon. Hopefully with 100% less disc read errors! Wink

Just take your disk to a local Game Crazy and them resurface it for $2. I had them do it to my disk, took less then 3 minutes and it looks and works like new. Then to just make sure this doesn't happen again grab some D_Skins to protect it and you'll be golden.

Yeah, something kinda clicked last night. There were some seriously hilarious moments, and I even found myself picking game types as party leader that I normally get really tense in (crazy kings, oddball, ninjaphantomstuff).

What I *really* loved was seeing ALL of the sunshine variants that were made. It warmed my heart, it did.

I know a lot of you groan and bitch whenever I bring sunshine to Zanzibar, but I think it has meant a LOT to the people who get to spend another minute or two actually getting some play momentum, instead of getting sniped in the head. Being able to do a warthog run, get the flag out to the middle, and take out three other dudes with 'nades or a well-aimed pistol shot or seven? That's the kinda thrill you sniper/rocket/sword dudes feel *all* the time, you know?

I am really glad that people are taking the time to consider dual-wield-only as a way of playing (occasionally! you know, just to mix things up!) - I think it's really made some of us feel more welcome in the group, and gives us a chance to get better at our game.

Krystyn, did you originate Sunshine?

whoever did, I owe a debt to.

And yes, last night was the most fun I've had playing in a good while.

I've got some time off work soon! From next week!

So I'm going to be playing some halo 2.

If you remember me!

When the big hand is on the little hand, and you aren't at Micheal Jackson's House..... (HA! I kill me [Grifter7 commited suicide]... Thanks folks, enjoy the salad, I'll be here all week...)

Seriously though Nova, I think 9 EST there is usually a decent crowd online.

And Krystyn and crew from last, MUCHO DEL FUNO, which is of course spanish for "a pretty good time was had by all." The sunshine games are a great break from the regular games, and I agree they help create team work and improve "weaker" weapons skills.

Later in the night, we kicked major ass on 6 vs. 6. Good team work all around there.

Yeah, I originated sunshine, which is short for "sunshine! puppies! and rainbows!"

There aren't enough spaces in the custom gametype titles to include the whole thing, so it got naturally shortened to "sunshine." Very Happy

I was wondering what that strange blue light was...I thought it was a spider...

BTW - I changed my Halo 2 Icon to something more fitting...

Uber! There's a spider on your head!!!

My appologies to the ladies for the crassness displayed on this link. It's a diagram of a Spartan and the different "terminology" of each place that can be stuck.

That was great. Laughing I just hope that people don't actually memories this list and start calling it out over live. If they do I'm starting out by killing their first born, or taking their left foot.

The same site that has the Stick Guild mentioned above, also has HOW TO CONQUER HALO 2 SWORD ADDICTION and GAMING IN THE REAL WORLD, both of which are pretty entertaining.
