that's simple to explain.
Each section started with a number, and an Hour:Minute, and had a book of the bible in the text.
"18. 6:23am Judges "
so take the book Judges, find the 6th chapter, 23rd verse (chapter verse is usually written in the 6:23 format).
I even went to the trouble of cutting and pasting each verse above. The problem was that I had the wrong version of the bible. I had the "new king james version". Mottjr was using the regular "king james version". Why was I using the "new king james version"? because I was a moron.

So, once you have the verses lined up, you still have to figure out what the number at the beginning meant. I knew it wasn't the 18th word, because certain verses didn't have enough words. But using the KJV, and taking the correct letter of the verse, you get OPTOMETRIST.
