[SOCIAL] - New York Holiday Party It will soon be Christmastime in the city.
So how about a get together? The Heartland Brewery was good for the Last Call Poker meet-up. There is one in Rockefeller Center which is near lots of shiny touristy stuff. Or we could go back to the one near Union Square, which is near other stuff.
What about after work or so on Friday night December 16th? Or Saturday night the 17th?
I know this is prime holiday party time -so please post if this time/ place works.

I've seen through your clever ruse, rose. (ruse rose. neat) You're planning a surprise party for my birthday. Don't worry, I'll play along and act all surprised. Oh, if anyone is looking for ideas for gifts, pm me. Thanks.

Ooh, 12/16 is the last day of the semester. I don't really know what my schedule will be like then, or when I'm going home, but in any case I probably wouldn't have to deal with that annoying dinky train and its stupid early closing and the trains that decide to stop running right when I get on them. So, that's one tentative "maybe" here. Sounds like fun.

In general, the weekends are better for me. I get out of work [in Plainsboro, near Princeton] around seven or so, and it takes me about an hour to drive home [to near Newark]. On a weekday, I'd arrive nine at the earliest, and unless I crashed somewhere, I'd have to leave at midnight.

Festive cheer Ok - I have been swamped and need some holiday cheer. Too many of the holiday parties I go to are about networking and not fun, happy, happy, joy, joy - like we have. Can we plan on Saturday the 17th?

Or, can we go to the Belgian Cafe right next to the Heartland Brewery in Times Square?
In fact, can we nominate Kwak as the official beer of UF?

party Times Square? Do they have food? Why do you love Kwak so much? I don't get it myself. But I am happy to go wherever you want to meet- I was by Rockefeller Center yesterday and the crowds were horrendous.
Can we make a time and place soon? I need to make sure Anthrax, Sin, bagsbee, omnie, EGo, Ikkarus, etc. know about this.

Same here. Friday night I'm having the stitches taken out.

Did you finally get around to having that third arm installed?
Saturday looks to be ok by me. Not that I really have any control over my scheduling most of the time. But to my current knowledge no plans have been made for me on that day.

So, um, what's the deal here kids and kidettes? Are we still doing this? When, where, etc.? Inquiring minds and disorganized jerks want to know.

There's a slight chance I may be able to come out and play the night of Sat. 12/17. Even if I can't I'll make some calls and try to rally the troops.
Omnie are you 21 yet?
