Good call on Leiphe being Beth's mother! Here's some further proof:
On the page http://www.leiphe.net/lessonslearned.html, Leiphe lists the following question under September 27, 2003:
5. Let's say you've got $500 to spend on a given weekend. How would you spend it?
Didn't Beth win Employee of the year and $500 THE DAY BEFORE?!? Then she would probably have told her mother, who would have put it on her webpage as a general question to all her followers!

Somebody mentioned pictures in a student artwork section, where is this section?
It's under "Student Showcase" at the bottom left of http://wongmo.org . There's one really interesting picture of what looks like robots taking over the world.
I'm also curious about the book used in the picture for the link -- at first glance it looks like a musical score, but when I look closer, the writing doesn't quite look like musical notes.
also, what's with the 'showcaseempty' name for the pic? every other pic on the site has a logical name (e.g., ocean, flower, etc.) and this one, that you would think would be named 'musicscore' or something. i know it's in the 'showcase' section but is there more to this (taking into account what 'slaw said about it not really looking like music).

I don't really think that there's more to especially that picture. I confess that I tried to make it bigger because I wanted to play the notes to find out what it is. But you can't decipher it. If it would be important, the PM's would have made it bigger...

Thanks Thanks, chancesend. I'm just dying to have a good call on something!
If Leiphe is Beth's mother, who is her truck-driving father? Marcus Ormond? James Avery?

I think it was just a 'normal' naming convention. The picture on the main page has "Student Showcase" in it, making it not empty. Whereas the 'showcaseempty' is... well... empty. I don't think there is any more significance.

I'm gonna have to disagree on that looking like something other than musical notes. I definitely see the notes. There appear to be some sixteenths in the left hand and a combination of quarters, eighths, and sixteenths in the right hand. So, in my opinion, nothing to see here.

If you want there to be puzzles, clues, and a big fun game meant for you to enjoy, you should probably get out of that mindset.

are you talking to me? cuz you're obviously in the wrong...
in the 'rules' of the 'game' we're playing in... caesar isnt a PM.... genius.
he's a hacker leaving things for other people, possibly us..but probably not us...
so its pointless to say pm as it just kinda ruins the fun...

If you are in it for the voyeurism, that's cool, I guess. All I'm saying is that the whole thing is clearly comprized of discrete intellectual challenges, which have been designed solely to be solved. If that weren't the case, I would definitely NOT be sitting here on Friday afternoon endlessly trying different passwords for some 64-year-old corporate executive's e-mail account when I have many pressing things that pertain to my real life that need attention.
I just can't resist a challenge...
....why else would I have spent all that time playing Myst? (I often wish I had that time back though)
