okay, i'm pretty sure this is the best place to stick this

i checked all the new images using stegdetect, and i got two definite positives and one "skipped(false positive likely)" which is the same answer i got when we found the hidden file in that other image. haven't tried to desteg yet, because i was travelin' in a car when i decided to check. just thought i'd let everyone else know, incase someone wants to try and figure 'em out.

the two definite positives are kamikire.jpg and kamibasami.jpg, and the other possibly stegged one is one of those four binary pics, the 010001100100111101010010.jpg

all the other new ones turned up negative

I ran a scan on the first 2 (the smaller images) and it came back with an error b/c they are grey scale images and not color. The xsteg needs it to have the 3 color values to pull from in order to make its determination (a guess due to my resulting error message). I colorized one of them and re-ran it, negative.

I say that, BUT I also think there is something behind the wording. At first I thought it was a simple repetition of the same text offset, but upon closer look it seems to be different. Not having sufficient knowledge on how to desteg anything properly (as "use xsteg program" isnt enough for me to go by b/c I have tried to use it, read everything I could find about it, and it still doesnt make sense) I cant say that my findings are more accurate or disprove yours at all. If anyone has experience in this and could shed some light (I mean actually explain it, not post a finished product b/c you know how) I would really like to know.

Source change, of sorts, on the panicht page. The word "three" has now been capitalized both times within the source. Something very weird is going on, I'm just not sure if things are being "corrected" or whether it was intentional. Either way, it still makes no sense to me.

well, i just ran xsteg on those images again, and it came back positive on both again, so ... sorry glecius, but i think i'll trust my compy for a little while. if we don't find anything after a while, then i'll admit that you may have been right.


i just looked at those images closer, and there's definitely something behind the letters. in some spots, it's just a repeat of the letter, but in others (like behind that first B), it's a definite different letter. I'll play around in photosop some. maybe that's the password to the steg.

Since it concerns the site I suppose this is the place for this: Around 2:10am EST my sites watching program reported the qu13e site in its completeness to be unreachable. 404s from every page. I double checked this with a few different connections and it seems accurate. Perhaps they needed some downtime to work on things?

010001100100111101010010.jpg looks like a binary-code just written artistically. Tried to make something out of it but no luck so far.

On this page the picture is called tegakari. That means "clue".
