by that logic, the next jpg name would be something like 00110001.jpg or 00110001.gif. (which equals 49). They're using primenumbers.

erh.. better explain that a bit more.
1 ^ 2 = 1
2 ^ 2 = 4
3 ^ 2 = 9
5 ^ 2 = 25
7 ^ 2 = 49 (00110001)
11 ^ 2 = 121 (01111001)
13 ^ 2 = 169 (10101001)
17 ^2 is more than 255, so it's not relevant.
Only flaw in this is the fact that 1 isn't a real primenumber.
Not sure if this is important at all.

Thus limiting your theory

Why are you talking in hex though? We are refering to the decimal system, we arn't talking about hexadecimal.
dec 25:
Hex=19
Binary=11001
100101 in decimal is 37.

Possible Message/login/password Emerging For the life of me someone mentioned the number 64 as being relevant to something. BIG senior moment (maybe a 500 Moment ) and I can't find it. numbers don;t seem to work in the search.
Maybe here(Marcus's Ormond Age and Favorite Beatle's Song)
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2560&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=135
The key maybe 64.
The numbers of the JPG File names.
1 4 9 25 15
At first it seems a porgression, til you get 15. So maybe it a is a code.
64 maybe the key. I looked that The ASCII codes. Letters start with ASCII code 65.
Add 64 to each one of those letters. (there will probably be more Pictures)
So the Numbers above Plus 64 change to
65 69 73 89 79
Converted to ASCII
A E I Y O
Have no idea, but there might be a letter shift.
Shall we go from there???

There were several suggestions that you can go both ways, through the hex and the dec system. I've gone through hex since that is what has been mentioned more often then the dec system.
Now there is 00001111 otherwise 15/D
Both system's give you suggestions onwhat to do.

Any bets on whether the next picture will be 00010101 (ASCII 'U' - 64).
Since all the others are vowels, it makes sense.

True, although you don't need to add 64 to these values and think of them ASCII to get the AEIYO ... rather just number the alphabet sequentially. My point is that the information content of the sequence (forming the vowel pattern) does not require 64 to be involved for it to make a pattern ... although it is intriguing that you add 64 to a conventionally numbered alphabet to get uppercase ASCII. Another dimension to consider re: mlo?

If we follow the pattern, I would expect the next picture to be 21, to signify U (adding 64 for ASCII giving 85). This could fit somehow with Omnie's pattern:
Quote:
1*1
2*2
3*3
5*5
5*3
giving us 7*3 or 3*7 next ... although I can't see exactly how it fits (I was never any good identifying sequences).
One more thought out of left field: Not a lot of attention has been given to silvia.ypt yet. You might remember this file as being full of four word phrases of the form <adjective> <noun> <verb> <adverb>. I mention this because the first quartet is "ignominious vowel whispers completely" and vowel jumps out at me because this message seems very likely to be code that should be not too hard to break (due to its regular structure), and I can't help but think 'vowel' is there right up front for a reason.
