on the second example for the stickers that Mr. Pearson posted on the pda, he put find araya.com not findaraya.com

This took me to a world news website, maybe we should search there....

*EDIT* Forums are down by the way
*EDIT2*Forum is back up so everyone knows...

Did a search on that site for missing benedict and got back a bunch of stories about Pope Benedict. Nothing seems out of the ordinary.

In the IRC, ZeikHunter pointed out to me after I had gotten the left half of the note written by james pearson(with the red marks on it) that the right half looked like it had something written on the back of it, I finally got the right half of that note and I opened them both in photoshop and I am almost completely sure now that he was correct and that there is something writtin on the back, I am thinking that maybe the red marks on that note are from a pen bleeding through or something on the other side....

To get the bulletin board (since it has right clicking disabled) go to:
http://www.findaraya.com/index1.htm

I know I commented earlier that the background picture on www.findaraya.com would not be important, but the longer I look, the more interesting it becomes.
One of the things that stick is the telephonenumber of a certain Mike at the right side: 02075454??? Could this be a tel. no. in the UK, and possibly in London? If so, is there a possibility to reverse search for any names with such numbers?

There are three pictures of women, which are treated in such a way that the faces are invisible. Judging from the hair, these are three different women. Any relation to Araya?

On the top there is a small 'statue' of a guy with something on his back, maybe a backpack, maybe oxygen flasks or something like that. Is our James a hitchhiker/diver?

from earlier in this thread it has appeared that the maps relate to London. Can any Londoner tell me if the Hillington-Harrow area fits into the larger map at the top, e.g. in one of the coloured areas?

The Texas Historical Commission declaration comes from this site: http://www.texasescapes.com/Texas_architecture/TexasTheaters/WinkRigTheatre.htm, but I cannot yet see any meaning for it or behind it.

Beneath this is what seems to be a picture of a subway station. Somebody here who recognizes that?

The Cairo stamps have already been discussed above.

In the left bottom there is an electrical scheme, which seems to be a telephone plug. Can someone confirm?

Anyhow, more questions than answers and maybe some hints. I would like to know if someone can bring up some more information.

the 'small statue' appears to be a plastic toy soldier, of the radio operator variety

and the diagram is in fact a telephone wiring diagram, with what appears to be a PHONE TAP spliced in. it reads:
Left side:
RJ-11 jack
for wall plate

Middle, from top, labeled wires:
"Yel" yellow wire
"Bl" black wire
"Gre" green wire
"Red" red wire

Right Side:
RJ-11 jack
to phone

underneath which, reads 'standard telephone interface'

the bottom of the diagram illustrates a wiretap, however i cannot read any resistances or voltages well enough to further enlighten the situation.

basically what it illustrates is a phone cord, with a tap connected to the green and red wires.

That, in fact, *is* the standard telephone wire set up - the infamous 'Bumble bee/Christmas Tree'. I work networks, not phones, so I couldn't tell you if tapping the christmas tree would actually be a workable tap...

However, I'm fairly certain that it's just background 'thematic' stuff.

tao, you deployed to kuwait? im in the al-anbar provence iraq atm. this place sucks, no?

tapping the wire itself its very common, the way the diagram is labeled, it shows the wire from the phone to the wall, not the best place for a tap. its usually put on the other side of the wall plate, so it taps no matter what wire is plugged in. but yeah, probably juat background, he said he was more into audi surveillance, from what i recall

This almost certainly is a London number - 0207 is one of the London area codes (can't remember if it's central or outer London off the top of my head, sorry), and xxx-xxxx is the standard UK phone number formatting after the area code.

Not Kuwait, a little farther south - I'm at Al Udeid. I have to say that though this place certainly sucks, yours probably sucks worse, so I won't complain too much Wink

As far as that telly number goes....has anyone tried calling it?

I don't think the number is complete. That's why I asked for any Londener if this could be a UK Londen number and how many digits it than should be.

Greetings! I've been reading the thread and checking the site. I did a search of unfiction and didn't see this noted.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://dove.pixelfx.org/indexx.php

"You have run into Araya's personal site hosted by Emily"

Not sure if it's related, but it's intriguing.

Edit* Further investigation reveals this to be a young girl's site named Araya. Probably too young to be our Araya.

sorry, i had to go to sleep...and i slept a little too late (1 PM)

The guy at the top, the toy...it is a "space man", I know because I used to have those when I was a kid. (Used t be obsessed with space stuff)

The phone number will surely be completed soon. It could be the number to someone important, so if any other numbers appear....try to use them with that phone number.

I tried using the eyes in the bg on the other two women to see if they matched any and they didnt, it is very odd that they dont have faces....I wonder what purpose the eyes serve...

Although this stuff could very well just be background/theme stuff, we still cannot dismiss it. There might be something important in the bg that we could overlook.

Also, I dont know if this has been discussed beofre..I dont think it has but, if anyone here is good at that google find thing where there is a pic posted and people try to find it using google, if you are good at that, try to find that place that is circled in red in the map at the top right.....I traced the server, it is in Germany...I tried looking for maps of Germany but, no good. If no one can find it on a map, does it look familiar to anyone??

I found the satelite image that was used. I will up load a larger scale overview and circle the area. We will need the expertice of a Londoner to give us additional information.

EDIT- I've attached the photo. It's pretty big. Look for my RED PAINTBRUSHED area near the middle.
