Sorceress chamber need help and it is a three diget code and this is what it says:

As you approach the door, you notice that someone has scrawled a message on it with a pencil: "BEWARE: One of the guards always tells the truth, one of them always lies, one of them alternates between the two, and one craves the taste of human flesh!" Ominous.

Hesitantly, you push the door open and enter a small room. You find four guards seated at a round table, playing bridge. You grab your weapon and prepare for a fight, but they just look up at you and nod amicably. "Hello," says the guard playing North.

"Er, hi," you say. "Um, don't mind me, I was just passing through."

The guard playing South says, "I suppose you want the combination to the other door, then? I'm getting really tired of people asking about that."

"He's lying," says North.

"No," says East, "you're the one lying."

"Graaaaagh," says West.

"Great," you sigh. "What's the code, then?"

"Well," says South, "the first digit is 6."

"No it isn't," says East. "It's 1."

North shakes his head. "You're full of it."

"Don't interrupt. The second digit now -- that's 9," says East.

"Graaaaagh," says West.

"It's 0, in fact," South.

North grumbles, "It's definitely more than that -- it's 8."

"And the last digit is 4," says South, ignoring North.

"Don't listen to him," says East. "It's 7."

"No, it is 4, I'm sure of it," says North.

"Graaaaagh," says West.

You roll your eyes. "Great. Thanks a lot, guys."

This is true so to my thoughts he is either the truth teller or the one that alternates.

"He's lying," says North.

My guess for this one is that he is that one that craves human flesh so i dont care about him at all but it is rather ominous yes?

Useing my mystical powers i have decided that North is the one lying all the time because he is the only that can be because he that has the lie option and due to this i find some problems in the places hat he sides with south once so he can only be the one that alternates. But i tried his answer and this is wrong at least that time.

help im confused by my own reply?
