I took that as a typo, but it could possibly be construed as some sort of a clue.

Well, instinctively the picture looks like binary code ... but doesn't translate into anything useful. Using the checkers as 1's (and going row by row), you get USLW; using them as 0's gets you JLSH. Putting it through a binary translator as a block gives you gobbledygook. I think the fact that there are diagonal lines on the checkerboard must be important, but I can't put the two together.

I got this e-mail stating that, no, the APONs didn't mean anything significant...but then he mentions something else...

That's just my GED shining through. Excuse me while I curse at my spell checker.

I have found something else. I will post something soon which will lead you to it. Probably within the next 24 to 48 hours. It appears as though my company wasn't the only one that Jason tried to contact regarding the whole "Sarah is missing" thing.

Hi,
this will be my first post on any ARG forum, But have been researching the subject academically for about 6months for my final year dissertation paper, (I study Time based media development and Internet Viral marketing at a English university) Lurking a hell of a lot and reading in great depth into the field (recommend Szulborski's 'This is not a game') So although I'm a TOTAL noob, and I have never participated before… I'm coming at this thing from a different approach I hope I may be able to help.

this puzzle has drawn me in

Been looking at 0009300019557000.jpg Could the answer be in game notation? As there are pieces on both color squares on the boards it can not be checkers notation, but the KING ME seems to point to it being chess. Algebraic notation is the most common notation in use. For the rows of the chess board it assigns the numbers '1' through '8' starting from the Red side. For the columns of the board it uses the letters 'a' through 'h', left to right from the Red side. The square at the intersection of a column and a row is identified by the letter for the column and the number for the row.
From this you can write down all the pieces and moves on the board needed to check an opponent……problem there is no King on the board! So what could this algebraic notation be used for? Anyone got any idea?

I'm Probably totally of track…but hey, I gotta start somewhere!

How did you solve this? Was it just an anagram or did you see a pattern to pick out the letters in the correct order?

hello,
i am also a noob want to participated i an ARG because i like to puzzle. this will be my first one.

as an reaction at the post of JRMWilliams i want to note that "King me" is a phrase from checkers. In checkers, a king is usually signified by stacking two checkers one on top of the other. but i don't think this is something like checkers. because than the pieces are played only on the black fields. maybe it is something like adding things up.

the post of "massive" gave me the idea that it is not a binary code but a morse code the pieces are dots and the diagonal lines are the dashes

i can't translate the code horizontal but vertical i get from top to bottom: FWLCF and from bottom to top i get LYFÄL. try to figure other things out.

1. If the 'Whatismylastname' thing is regarding Jason, the answer is 'Young'.

If its regarding Jack, the answer is 'Trever'

2.

Instead of Binary, I tried 'Hex' which gave the answer of

Well...I saw 16 letters, so I thought to put it in a matrix.

Code:
ltwa
imme
syht
ansa

Other than the word my and the name lisa (both of which I tried), I didn't notice anything spectacular.

So, I thought...maybe 2x8?

Code:
ltwaimme --> ltWAIMme
syhtansa --> syHTAnsa

Read vertically, the capitalized letters spelled "what I am", which also turned up as a dead end for me.

From there, I just started anagramming...and thats when I found "What is my last name".

Kind of a roundabout way to get there, I know...but I may have missed something in the middle someplace, so I thought the full explanation may be warranted.

Also, just a thought,

Code:
ltwaimmesyhtansa
0009300019557000

Same length...but I can't find a relationship.

I e-mailed Jack saying: It appears unfair to ask us to King you, when you have changed the rules of checkers, can you tell me the rules of the game you are playing, got this e-mail in return:

Quote:
If black jumps over red, then Black would call "King Me".

However, this "next move" has nothing to do with what you see in front of you.

Tell me what you see and I will tell you what you know. Tell me what you don't see, and I will tell you what you are missing.

One more hint from Jack. I asked what I should count.

Quote:
Count what you see, but not what you are looking at. You see squares. I see something else.

I'm more confused than ever. Confused
