 		[META] Unforums lawyers united :)
Sadly, lawyers are not known as the most fun or helpful people in the gaming world. I particularly like the AotH PMs saying that "lawyers suck the fun out of everything." For some reason I always picture people drawing back and making the sign of the cross with their fingers when I mention my profession in chat. "Back, back". Then there are people who think we are too nice to be lawyers and are so disappointed to find out the ugly truth. Wink

But ARGs are great games for lawyers to play, just like everyone else. I have a couple of ideas of how we could maybe help out our community.

One idea - why can't we form an unincorporated association and try to get some tax exemption? People could donate money for the server or even ARGFest and get a write-off. ....

This would take some time to put together but what do you think?

(on the other hand we could just come up with a logo and name, buy each other drinks at ARGFest, etc. )

Come up with a logo and a name and become the "in game" lawyers for args untold.

 		If there's enough people donating then I guess it would make perfect sense to do it. If it's pretty sporatic then it might not be worth the hassle. All in all, I think it's a good idea.

Just to throw my opinion in there about the lawyer comment, lawyers are kinda like guns. Lawyers don't sue people, their clients do.

sorry! I had it wrong. Maybe one of your group really said "I have heard a rumour that other people's lawyers suck the fun out of everything." (note that lots of people have heard the same rumour.)

 		Such comments to lawyers focus on the US legal profession. In Europe (most) lawyers are more valued and not seen as 'sharks'.
