The first part says something, the rest is gibberish:

Quote:

The first binary cipher is...

Quote:

I believe in the enemy because, all the days and all the nights, I encounter him on my path.
The enemy is the one who, from within, destroys everything worthwhile.

The second binary cipher on the remaining binary...

Quote:

9,23 11,44-48 21,8-9-10-11-12 25,13-12 29,62-65 50,18-24-26-44 61,8-9-10-11-12-13-14 75,8-9

Interesting.

The message is ordered.

It may just be someone being annoying, or it may be relevant. Rolling Eyes

I'm going to ignore it for the moment. Confused

Textor Texel

Confused
If you put the quote into GOOGLE, you only get one match.

Cosmétique de l'ennemi

Quote:

Title: Cosmétique de l'ennemi
Author: Amélie Nothomb
Genre: Novel
Written: 2001
Length: 140 pages
Original in: French
Availability: Cosmétique de l'ennemi - France

Now the good part...
Shocked Shocked Shocked

Quote:

It is just not Jérôme Angust's day: first the plane he is about to take gets delayed ("pour une durée indéterminée" -- i.e. for god knows how long), then a man comes up to him and insists on talking. And talking, and talking. Jérôme Angust isn't eager to enter into a conversation, but the man -- Textor Texel, he introduces himself, from Holland -- just won't go away. And when Angust tries to go away Texel just follows.
Texel is annoying, perhaps, but he seems harmless enough. A familiar figure, almost: a lonely stranger seeking some company who sets his sights on one person and can't be shaken off. It's the minor kind of airplane-lounge nightmare that many travellers will be familiar with.

There's more...

Ehm, this is weird...

That same page is the origin of "Texel is annoying", left out of the Texel googlism summary that was on the Aquapolis FTP...

*bump*

Cool Wake Up, Neo.

Has anyone seen cryptography like this before Question

I don't recognize it - but there is a pair pattern...

Quote:
9,23 11,44-48 21,8-9-10-11-12 25,13-12 29,62-65 50,18-24-26-44 61,8-9-10-11-12-13-14 75,8-9

Pairs...

9,23
11,44-48
21,8-9-10-11-12
25,13-12
29,62-65
50,18-24-26-44
61,8-9-10-11-12-13-14
75,8-9

The quote had meaning relevant to the game.
There's no reason to think that this won't be relevant...

if we can decode it. Confused

GOD,

I don't know if you're still thinking about this binary thing, but if you give it credibility based on the quote from "Cosmétique de l'ennemi", then Giskard found it here. *wink at Giskard*

Whoever is following unfiction could have taken note of Giskard's find, coded it, and added some ancillary stuff that I can only assume is meant to look like page numbers. Of course, even that doesn't make sense - because that would mean that the pages repeat.

I say - discard it. Personally, I'm never going to believe anything coming out of Paintover's comments. Funny thing is, I'm really not sure what we can believe anymore at all: the chat? posts here? somebody could even send me or anybody else here a PM or an e-mail...

random idea

just a quick thought for someone with the time.
the paired numbers may simply be cartesian coordinates. if someone wants, you should take the time to simply plot them out and see what it is you have. it may be very clear then, or it may match up to another clue. just a thought

http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/3rdyearlab/graphing/graph.html

I tried using just the pairs here:
9,23
11,44-48
21,8-9-10-11-12
25,13-12
29,62-65
50,18-24-26-44
61,8-9-10-11-12-13-14
75,8-9
... but I didn't get anything that interesting. So I seperated them out into individual points.

9,23
11,44
11,48
21,8
21,9
21,10
21,11
21,12
25,13
25,12
29,62
29,65
50,18
50,24
50,26
50,44
61,8
61,9
61,10
61,11
61,12
61,13
61,14
75,8
75,9

That came up with something that looked a little like the matrix code. Still nothing really definitive though... I'm gonna try and find the function for the points and see if that does anything.
