[EMAIL] 1/8 Seth Re: Milwaukee Evidence

I sent an email to Seth very similar to my post of the Milwaukee Evidence. Here's his reply:

Caspian,

I'm definitely not upset that you have recovered some of Steven's evidence. I had a contact in Chicago ready to make the trip up to Wisconsin for me, but I received your email before I gave him the final go-ahead. I am glad that you've recovered some of the evidence, but I am a bit worried that some of the evidence may have been contaminated. There are certain techniques that should always be used when handling evidence like wearing gloves to prevent contamination. It appears though that most of what was put in the cache was documentation of evidence taken by Steven. If you or anyone else plans to search for evidence please tell them to be extremely careful and not to touch anything without gloves. Otherwise, great job! I really appreciate your help on this.

I'll ask Stevie if the ribbon and the finger puppet mean anything to her. I will also pass along those photos to Cordelia to see if they mean anything to her. The items on the CD-R are of particular interest. Any idea what the noises are in the Contact1976 file?

Seth

I definitely did not use gloves when I found the Milwaukee Evidence. So those of you still looking may want to be a bit more careful than I was.

Andrew,

Thanks for the update. I was surprised that your team was able to move so quickly and recover one of the evidence caches. Good job! As I told Caspian, can you make sure that the entire team knows to be extremely careful when handling evidence? Standard evidence recovery procedures should be followed by everyone who comes in contact with any of the evidence. Have you made any progress on the code on the back of the note? What about the Contact1976 file on the CD? I'll ask Cordelia about those Milwaukee pictures to see if they mean anything in particular to her. I have a feeling that the ribbon and finger puppet might belong to Stevie.

I have some other good news. Martha wants to meet with me tomorrow. She said that she found what was causing the bad smell in the gardens and that the smell should subside soon. I urged her for a meeting today, but she said that she is sitting in on a series of meetings with Bronco. I dropped by the gardens to see if any of the workers there had anything to say about the smell, but no one seemed to know what caused the problem. Strange.

I also sent him the Indiana evidence.. and commented that Igor and Leon may be brothers.. from that not from Leon's father. I also mentioned how far Lisa drove!

Andrew,

I apologize again for the error in that static file. When I compared the two files frame by frame, it seems that only the "Hello World" frame was affected. Maybe I'm getting paranoid, but I have to wonder if there weren't originally locations listed in each frame? I keep wondering if somehow someone got the file before us, but then I convince myself it's unlikely, otherwise why wouldn't they replace all seven? I think maybe the investigation and being up here is just getting to me. Today I searched for 45 minutes for my notes on the Path Back to Eden before I found them in a folder I could have sworn I had already looked at.

I don't think I have Lisa's email address, so could you pass along a message to her? Tell her that her hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated. If I ever get off of this station and make my way down to Earth again, I'll buy her dinner next time I'm in her neck of the woods.

The letter to Leon is quite interesting. I have to wonder though how Steven got his hands on it? The idea about Leon being related somehow to Bronco is an interesting one and it should be easy enough to check out. I'll try to call in a favor and see if I can get my hands on some birth records.

Seth

Lisa gets a free dinner... and the smell is maybe kinda solved(?).. we'll hear tommorrow.
