I took angelsk's addresses for the 4 sisters and stuck them into google earth. When you draw an x between them, I don't get the intersection to be in Witcita but about 35 miles south, south-west just of the banks of Wellington Lake.

The was mention of all the addreses being near a body of water and this intersection is right next to more water....

Just a thought, don't have the card so can't try the solve....

Won't let me upload the KMZ, but intersection is:-
37°11'45.33"N
97°32'13.77"W

Not Wellington Lake.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Tried in combination with Coroner Sweborg and Sweborg, rot13 and rot-13. That's both sweborgs with rot13, and both rots with sweborg.

I thought we had the ROT13 confirmed as per Ade1000's post on pg 4 (P.S. Ramsfan, shouldn't you be spoilering those answers?)

Have we tried chronological order?

As in, the order in which sites were discovered along their respective paths?

Like, the "Chemistry Puzzle" would not be the same branch as another step of investigations that existed earlier.

Or, order of creation.
"A B C D" looks like a secondary classification system in case two things fall on the same sorting source, like day of creation.

Just trying to stir the think tank.
(And, yeah, we never got our #10 confirm, at least not in this topic.)

Alisdair, I presume you mean I should have spoilerised the previously obtained right answers rather than the wrong answer. Take your point. so
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Although I understood that the right answer was rot13, people had also put rot-13 and I wasn't sure we knew which it was, so I was just pointing out I'd tried both with Sweborg and Wellington. I imagine from previous right answers that they'd accept both Sweborg and Coroner Sweborg but again I wanted to show I'd tried both. I did it rather late last night and I'm afraid I can't remember which of the 4 combinations I didn't try. However I think because both sweborgs would be accepted, it's eliminated. I will definitely spoilerise if I am first to the solve

Read through the topic and pretty much managed it without my brain slipping out of my ears. Shocked

Anyway, decided to try a fresh look at Q11 and found this poem, it includes the lines:
Quote:

The Indians then, here glad to be,
These springs named Idaho,
The "Gem of the Mountains" that you see,
Thus named so long ago.

We gaze upon the sights so grand,
Where trails lead up above ;
Behold the beauties of the land,
His wondrous work of love !

might be a coincidence in the sight gazing and looking from above, but does give Idaho as a possible lead being the Gem of the Mountatins, though further from this can't see the link to cloudmakers! Confused

Can anyone with more knowledge on the subject use this info?

Re: Q11.

Hi, apologies in advance if this has already been mentioned (couldn't see anything earlier on this), but could this be a real map of a real place? I was playing with google earth on the off chance there might be a match, and there were a few close ones I could see. This might make the solve a bit simpler and explain why the card ain't as 'expensive' as others...

Has this been ruled out?

i never remembered other purple cards being this hard! or maybe its so simple that we just havent found the answer.

i dont really know much about args so sorry i cant be much help Sad

is there like a list of all current args somewhere on the internet? that would be helpful ... but there may be too many and we might die before we look into them all!

Got the answer to question 11, finally.

Thank you Angelsk, for posting the guest-map on the forum, cos I wouldn't have had a clue about where to look to find one.

Anyways I used the map that Angelsk linked us to, and the answer is staring out at us, its just a join the dots thing.

The answer is

David
