You're right Rowan (I was a bit stressted out when I wrote that, I guess) but some people are posting just to see themselves post, and have no intrest in playing, I will do whatever I can to help those who do want to play though Very Happy

Hi again... Okay if I test your patience one more time? I reeeally tried to get on board with this WIBS game -- it's my first ARG -- but I missed one day (one day!) because I needed to be all productive at work, and I went back and checked the boards, and there's more new posts than I could read if I spent a whole afternoon at it. Is this what usually happens? Do you just weed through? Or is my situation pretty much hopeless at this point? It doesn't help that most of the posts I have read don't seem to be getting anywhere. Or is that normal too...?

Hey Erica,

Not to worry. I personally would skim over posts that appear to be nothing but drama, or, even better, ask one of the attentive Unfictioners, maybe even on #benjaminstove, to give you a summary of what you might have missed.
Personally, if you're talking about the WIBS forums onsite, I doubt their importance. I guess we can only wait and see for now.

Ofiuco, thanks for talking me off the ledge. I'll hang back for a little bit and keep my eyes peeled... and what's this #benjaminstove?

It's the IRC chat room players have set up for discussing the game. If you don't already have an IRC client (like mIRC or Trillian) then you can access it from the chat page here at UnFiction or the ARGN chat client.

Just wanted to add to the above: That site and whoisbenjaminstove.com were both created on the same day, too. Strong evidence for it being in-game, I believe.

Jiminy Christmas, me too! First I saw the dang blog ad and never clicked, then I saw the Debunkette site and never explored it. I think I need my head examined.

I'm in. This baby is advertising all over the web. Even I, who lost interest in ARG's got sucked in. So that means corporate funding. What do you suppose they're selling? Who cares?

I'm ready for a dose of ARG back in my life. And with updates paced to every Thursday, I tell myself I won't get that obsessed. Right?

I love the Debunkette connection. I'ts a spin on Wonkette.com. This is deeply satirical. Maybe I can help with this game because I'm deep into the political blogosphere and recognize the allusions...

okay people...I'm in. This looks like it's going to be a pretty good one. Someone spent A LOT of money on ads. Hope the budget on multimedia and cool stuff, real world. Okay, so let's do this. Anyone look at the source on the two web pages yet? OF course you have. I'm off to look.
